At least once a month or more, I get a pizza from Carpe Diem, so I guess I’m a regular. I’ve tried most of the pizzas. The meat pizzas are spectacular.

I love Carpe Diem pizza. In my opinion it is the best pizza in the Takoma area. I always go for the Ham and fungi pizza and it never disappoints.

I should have listened to a former Carpe Diem customer who recommended Roscoe’s as I entered Carpe Diem, only four customers were seated during prime time on Saturday night and a handful of carryout orders were waiting on the counter.

This pizza is ok. I wouldn’t rush to get it again though. There wasn’t a lot of taste to either the dough or the sauce. The cheese tasted like it was pretty low quality. It’s fine if you’re in the neighborhood and looking for some neapolitan pizza, but there are much better options in the region as a whole.

2nd time trying and it was excellent both times. I was trying to square the quality of the pizza with the reviews, and then I thought there may be many Roscoe fans who weren’t happy about the competition. After reading several of the one stars, I now believe this to be true. And also, who has ever complained about too much cheese on pizza?? After eating 3/4 of a pie, I am going to take a nap!

Great pizza (5 stars) but please cut it into 8 slices, not quarters. We buy about 1-2 times a month. The pizza is meant to be shared and 8 slices is much easier for it.

It felt too cold to cook so I wanted to try the new pizza place. Ordered the pepperoni and a nobile pizza. The pepperoni does not look anything like the photo. Both pizzas were too salty. Both pizzas have too much cheese. This was very disappointing. I won’t be going back. Roscoes down the street is much better in quality and taste, so don’t waste your time or money on this place.

Ordered two pizzas online at 1pm today for pick-up at 6pm. Paid online via Slice and got an order confirmation. Showed up at 6pm and the place was closed. There was no indication of this online as your hours say 4:30-8:30 on Sundays . That’s annoying. Pizza here is fine but this is unacceptable.

Just waited 15 minutes to be told that there will not be a table for 4 available from 7 to closing. I asked if the empty tables were reserved, and they said no, but not available due to covid. That was bull. Those tables were the same distance as all other tables.. must have been understaffed..

Their pizzas didn’t look like their menu at all. In fact the margarita pizza which looks like a delicious mix of sauce with a smattering of cheese on the menu was basically just bread and cheese with almost no sauce at all.. And though I ordered arugula on my pizza they forgot to put it on. When I called to mention these oversights they told me it was my fault for using postmates. I am all for supporting local business but they should at least try to deliver on what they show in the pictures.
