First time having German style food, at least in a sit-down restaurant setting. I can’t comment on how authentic it is, but it was very good and the tray of deserts is dangerous. It certainly enticed me to order some at the end of a filling meal.

The Carriage House is an ethereal mix of elegant fine dining with a warm family welcome home feeling to it. It is truly rare to find such a place. I have been here many times with my uncle, who will not go out anywhere else locally for his birthday. It is easy to understand why he feels so passionately about this place though, after you realize that there is nothing you can order on this menu that is not INCREDIBLE! Every dish I have had over the years here is fresh, delicious, made with love, and exquisitely detailed not only in presentation, also in flavor. There are unique local cuisines as well as more rare International dishes that are sometimes offered as specials. The atmosphere is relaxing, you can come dressed formally or casually, as you prefer. The bar is also in need of high praise, the drinks are consistently excellent and strong. The perfect pomegranate martini can be found here! I highly recommend this restaurant for family dinners, gatherings of friends, and/or for a romantic date night. My favorite dinner is the crab imperial, though everything is truly amazing.

My wife and I stopped here while travelling through on our anniversary. The weather was perfect, so we sat outside. We arrived early, so there was not a crowd. The staff was very friendly, and our waitress was awesome. She took time to chat, answer our questions, and explain the menu. They were attentive without hovering. It is a gorgeous facility. And…the food was excellent. The appetizers and the entrees were top notch. A great pick if you are in the area.

Excellent party venue. We had a retirement dinner here and I was so pleased with everything. The food was delicious and hot. The staff was attentive and pleasant. The atmosphere is great. My daughter’s bridal shower was held at the Carriage House last weekend. Donna and her staff were super helpful and made the whole process easy and successful. We were able to choose my daughter’s favorites from the menu and everything turned out delicious and was a huge hit. The staff was attentive to our needs the entire time. Our family has enjoyed the Carriage House for years but they really went above and beyond last weekend. Thanks so much Donna for making my daughter’s shower a memory to last a lifetime!

My stuffed salmon was exceptional. I rarely order seafood in Pennsylvania, but our chef from south of the Mason-Dixon line came out to meet our group of motorcycle tourists before we ordered and gave me confidence to give the salmon a try. It was a great choice, and reports from others in the group were all stellar, regardless of their selections. The dessert selections were extraordinary, too. Prices were reasonable considering the high quality of our meals, and the ladies who served us did a wonderful job. We couldn’t be more pleased.
