My friend recommended me to try the fried Chicken from this restaurant. I came, bought fried chicken and goat curry. The fried chicken was flavorful, however, as soon as I tried to eat the curry I found a hair on the goat. From what I tasted it seemed like it was tasty but I couldn’t continue eating it. I came back to the restaurant and easily got a refund. I wouldn’t go again but I would say the food was good.

This used to be my spot as, a fellow Caribbean it’s a No for me! I ordered a Curry goat pea’s and rice with oxtail gravy I received the good went to eat the taste was entirely Unbearable, It appears it’s drenched I’m Pepper I asked about a refund or exchange I was told once it leaves the store they cannot mind you on the menu it’s not listed as it being spicy Just shameful as a business in today’s society this isn’t the 90s things come with labels in restaurant’s now.

Disappointed, was my first time ordering a meal at Cartaz. I usually try to get there for their patties, which are good (I get mild beef). Ordered a medium plate of stewed chicken with rice and peas, cabbage, plantain–at least that what I was told u was getting. When I got it home and opened it, there was four small pieces of chicken that were more bone than meat. The 6 inch plate was layered with rice and peas, 1 tbsp of cabbage, one slice of plantain. The cabbage was skillfully layered over the rice so you would think you had a cabbage side order but nah–one tablespoon spread out. Very disappointed. Basically I paid for a large order of rice and peas with essence of chicken, cabbage and plantain.

Food was fantastic and well priced, but the service was not great. I got the large sized curry goat which came with a generous amount of food. The meat was tender and very well seasoned. Also tried the oxtail stew which was good, but not as good as the curry goat. I went to order the food in store with a group of friends, but for some reason they would alternate between taking one of our orders and then from somebody behind our group? It seemed like they only wanted each of us to only order 1 dish at a time too, which was really weird. Never had such an awkward ordering experience but the food made the wait worth it

I am an avid supporter of this restaurant but am very disappointed with the food I got today and maybe the management will take action because staff DO NOT follow instructions on UberEats. I ordered the curried goat with explicit instructions about the gravy and the food I received was swimming in oil. Please do better and ensure staff follow instructions!

I’ve ordered from Cartaz multiple times but today will be my last. I ordered a medium jerk chicken with oxtail gravy, as well as a large curry chicken and roti. For starters, my “jerk chicken” had no JERK whatsoever. No gravy, nothing. Just over cooked, dry, rotisserie chicken. Plantains were dry, and the rice was bland. My boyfriends curry chicken looks undercooked, and to save the meal tossed in a bunch of curry gravy. His side of roti tastes like it was made earlier this week. Highly disappointed in this experience.

Yesterday i went in to get the GOOD FOOD THAT I’M USED TO GETTING WHEN I GO THERE. HA I’M FOOLISH RIGHT THE FOOD IS BEGINNING TO GET MEDIOCRE AT LEAST TO MY TASTE BUDS. My issue was not so much about my food IT WAS THE SERVICE… THE LADY WITH THE EYEGLASSES WAS NOT WELCOMING AT ALL. I GREETED HER WITH A GOOD AFTERNOON SHE JUST LOOKED AT ME LIKE I WAS SPEAKING BLACKANESE. AT THAT POINT I WAS SOMEWHAT RELUCTANT TO EVEN ORDER. But i did. I got the STEWED CHICKEN PEAS AND RICE CABBAGE AND ONE PIECE OF PLANTAIN SMH. If you have ATTITUDE STAY HOME IF YOU’VE HAD AN ISSUE WITH THE CUSTOMER BEFORE SOMEONE DON’T BRING THAT TO THE NEXT CUSTOMER. I KNOW IT’S HOT AND BEING IN A KITCHEN WHICH CAN PUT PRESSURE ON YOUR attitude i know because in not a fan of the summer but still SHOW POLITENESS AND BE CORDIAL TO EACH PAYING CUSTOMER. STAY BLESSED IMPROVE YOUR BEHAVIOR.

This restaurant isn’t the same. The food isn’t flavorful, the staff is very rude & it needs a deep cleaning. Wouldn’t recommend. Idk if it’s new management or new cooks. But something has to change!!
