Actually 4.5. Excellent first experience. The service was attentive (Mallory), the ambiance was beautiful & the food was good: oysters (though a few shell pieces), filet, and salmon with scallops (beautiful flavor combos and textures, but the couscous was cold). My complaint (not worth deducting stars) is that it was arctic cold in there. When we went outside to the 60° it was much warmer.

Very lovely place for a nice dinner or Sunday brunch! Service was excellent, food was even better! Also a proper Mocktail always makes me happy!

It was pretty good, but weird that they said their dessert vendor wasn’t open on Saturdays or something so they ran out. If you want dessert on a Saturday, go early. The food was good. We wanted to order a bottle of wine later in the meal, but couldn’t get the waitress’ attention until we were told of the *lack of* desserts at that point we just went up the street for ice cream.

Carte Blanche has quite a nice brunch on Sundays. Everyone enjoyed the food and the popovers are great. Our server was very attentive and my omelette was delicious.

One of the best brunches I have ever had. I went with my husband and a friend, and we shared the bread plate, which had popovers, fresh breads, apple butter and fresh butter to share. It was to die for- the largest popovers I have ever seen. I then had the french toast, which was incredible, sticky, sweet, and delicious, with an aromatic twist of rosemary and orange in the mix. My friend and I shared the grits, which was a delicious and creamy delight added to our already decadent meal. My husband had an omelette with a salad (he has dietary restrictions) and that was wonderful as well. We shared a large french press of coffee, and hung around for a few hours, talking, nibbling and enjoying ourselves. We were not rushed out or made to feel we were taking up space or time- we were allowed to just be lazy and enjoy the late, long morning. It was such a delight- we even got to speak with the Chef, who was such a wonderfully sweet and open man, and talked about the different things we ate and answered our questions on what flavors we were tasting in our various dishes. He mentioned they make their own pasta and gnocchi, and I can’t wait to go back and try that.
