So first time trying this place and I’ll say it’s just OK. I had the wings with macaroni and collards. The first problem is I’m 100 % sure these are not fresh greens. I’m sure they are from a can, they taste like Margaret Holmes Greens. I eat collards all the time and I know the difference between canned collards and real ones. This macaroni and cheese was not good at all It tasted like box macaroni that they put some shredded cheese on top of. I couldn’t eat it. The wings were great, loved the taste of the chicken. So overall I felt it was just OK. The price isn’t too bad but I don’t wanna pay fresh soul food prices for canned food. That chicken though… It’s really good.

I am upset with myself for not eating at this establishment long before now. I placed a last minute order (4 hours prior to my need) for 13 chicken dinners for a meeting this past Wednesday. Was in the mood for country fried steak and checked out Carzell’s Kitchen in Powder Springs, only 4 miles from home. They were out so I asked for breaded chicken tenders over mashed potatoes (instead of rice) with gravy. Macaroni & cheese and collards as my two sides with cornbread muffins. Everything is seasoned absolutely perfectly, served hot and fresh.

I had the fried chicken wings they were so small I couldn’t understand it! Then I gather that they fry them in flour that had no taste. I also ordered the fried whiting another catastrophe. I could tell that it was frozen fish. It wasn’t fresh or at least that was my assumption. The only enjoyable items were the candied yams the fried cabbage. I won’t be visiting this place again it was a waste of my money.

This is a great family run restaurant with good food. They are always friendly and quick. It is one of the only places that isn’t fast food around this area. They have a large menu so check their website before ordering.

Unable to go inside. Serves food through the door. Ordered porkchop in smothered gravy, mac and cheese, gizzard. Food wasn’t smoking hot. Good flavor. Porkchop was delicious (could cut with a spoon)

Compliments to the chef the food was delicious. Good Soul food is hard to find where i stay. I wish i would have took pictures of before we ate but the empty boxes say it all. Its just togo orders but the food is amazing. We will be going back thanks for the great food.

I have ordered food here 3 times with in a week because it is so GOOD! I have tried the smothered fried chicken, chicken livers, smothered fried pork chops and several sides. I have not been disappointed, unless you count the sadness when it’s all gone lol. Great food, great service! Lucky I found this place!!
