I just had the most amazing meal at Casa Borinquena, and I can’t wait to share my experience! The potato balls were seriously tasty, especially with that sauce they came with. And let’s talk about the chicken skewer – it was packed with flavor and cooked just right. Oh, and the empanadas? They were nothing short of heavenly. To balance out all the richness, I tried the cucumber pineapple, and boy, was it a refreshing explosion of flavors. If you’re up for an unforgettable culinary adventure, Casa Borinquena is the place to be!

Absolutely incredible. Some of the best food I ever had in my life. That’s coming from a big time foodie. I grew up on the east coast, I’ve eaten Puerto Rican food all over New York, New Jersey, and Florida and I have to say this is top tier stuff. I wish I lived nearby so I could support all the time. This lady is insane with the cooking skills. Highly recommend!

Loved the pinchos, bocadillos, arroz con gandules were KILLER and the mofongo was DELICIOUS. The food is made with love- it’s obvious. Came out from Philly for a biz trip and made a point to stop by. So grateful I did. Gotta support my Boricua fam! Recommend this place if you love flavorful food.

The bori fries are so crispy, tasty, and filling with a killer sauce and vegan chicken. Also recommend the chicken sampler plate. Chef Lulu was incredibly friendly and happy to answer any questions. Love this place, will be back!

The food was ok. We ordered the chicken sampler, which supposedly had 5 sweet plantains as per the online menu, but it only had 2. Also, there were just a few ‘gandules’ on the rice. We also ordered relleno de papa, which was pretty good. Service was ok, but the atmosphere is lacking some Puerto Rican vibes.

The food here is incredible!! Only to be outdone by their fantastic staff, especially Chef Lulu. My friend and I had the chicken and pork meals, respectively, and my only regret is that I didn’t order one of each. We were almost done with our meals when Chef Lulu came out to check on us. That’s when we learned that the food was vegan. We were both shocked (in a good way)! The texture and seasoning of both meats were absolute perfection! I will definitely be bringing my vegetarian and vegan friends here to try some of Puerto Rico’s finest! Chef Lulu also gave us some rellenos de papa on the house—they were DECADENT and the sauce was to die for. All in all, fantastic experience!

The chef personally handed us our food, which she does for all her clients. And I know why. It’s amazing! Believe it or not this is a vegan restaurant with better “chicken” than a lot of chicken restaurant, and it’s inside a perfectly fried empanada (pastelillo). The plantane/beef dish (loaded tostones) are phenomenal. And the stuffed potato ball w/ beef (relleno de papa) is delicious.
