After seeing posts about this place for awhile and wanting to try it, my fiancé and I decided to give it a shot. We made reservations since it was one of the first real nice days of the year. Let me tell you that the food did not disappoint, I highly recommend the gnocchi. Our waiter Ethan was fantastic and suggested the vodka sauce which was second to none. We live about 30 minutes away and the drive was 100% worth every second. We will be coming back for sure.

Stumbled into this place in route to the St. Lawrence. Lucky find! Great Italian food. Homemade pasta was perfectly cooked. Both dishes we had were spot in. Would try and hit this again if up this way.

I guess we got much luckier than all those complaining about the quality of the food at Casa Capitana. We simply weren’t served any. Waited for more than an hour!! after placing the order (fettuccini Alfredo and eggplant parmesan, nothing too complex) only for the waiter to tell us that the order wasn’t processed due to a computer glitch. As an apology the waiter reluctantly asked us if we’d like him to ” start working on our order” Upscale restaurant? I don’t think so. We left .

Hoping for a nice evening meal with my husband. After waiting over an hour for our meals we asked for our check. Then so happens our food arrived cold so we paid and quickly left. On our way out the very intoxicated chef decided to harass us. We highly recommend not bringing your family here.

Enjoyed dinner here with my wife on a cold February night. Another outstanding evening at our favorite restaurant in the Champlain Valley. Food, service and ambience all 5 stars. Tom and Elizabeth are wonderful hosts. Pasta and sauces all made in-house.

The food here was AWESOME! Great drinks and great appetizers/meals. Super authentic flavor and great presentation. Only downside was the slower service due to short staffing, but that’s everywhere these days. The owner was communicative and apologetic for the wait, as was the server. Would absolutely go back for their pollo alla Bella and French onion soup!!!
