Atmosphere was ok. Music loud. Servers barely coming and refilling the drinks. My family told me about this place. So I went for birthday lunch after receiving a great day. When I started to see the waitress serve us, I recommended to her male coworker. She is not checking on her tables. It’s been 15 minutes no drink to refill no water was offered. Suggest that you keep waitress looking amazing but if she is nit doing her job. No 1k tip for her or even 500$ tip.

Food was ok. Chips were a bit stale, which was probably because they had just opened. Service was pretty good. Attentive waitress. Pretty expensive for what it is. My beer mug was dirty. It appears it had recently been used for a michelada or something. I hadn’t noticed due to my beer being dark. But as I drank it down it was on my fingers and inside the rim. That or the person who served it had some spices on his hand? Hoping it was at least rinsed out from it’s last use.

Food was great but the waitress didn’t speak English and couldn’t understand our questions and requests too well. She charged us for guacamole that was offered with chips, no mention that it was $11, which more than our entree! It’s just a small serving too. She also wasn’t sure about Taco Tuesday special when we asked. The place was nice but the various tvs were blasting music videos at a really loud volume as well, it was like a club at our lunch break!

We had the bistec picado and I asked them to replace the green peppers with jalapeños, and they did. It tasted WAYYY better than with green peppers; more authentic in flavor and spice. Unfortunately, we didn’t enjoy their Chile Verde. They topped the meat with lots of cheese and the Chile Verde sauce lacked flavor and spice. I think this restaurant caters to customers that aren’t looking for authentic flavorful and spicy Mexican food. If You’re looking for authentic Mexican food, I don’t recommend this restaurant. If you like less authentic (less flavor and spice), this place is good. Service was great.

We ordered margaritas and it was watered down. Agua chile was bland and taste fishy and dirty. The shrimp tacos were bland as well. We tried adding pepper and salsa to improve the taste but failed. Kids nuggets and the chips and salsa were good. That’s why we gave it a 1 star.

It was pretty dead inside, so I got seated quickly. I got my chips and salsa and drink right away, so that was nice. My waitress was polite, but disappeared after my food was served. I needed salt because the entire meal was so terribly bland. I had to get up and find a salt shaker as there were none on any table in my immediate view. I had to walk up to the empty bar to find one. After I finished my meal, she came back out and asked me how my meal was to which I replied “it was fine”, but of course I lied being polite as I am. I thought I’d give Casa Jimenez another try after a previous disappointment, but sadly it hasn’t improved. Oh well.

Ordered cocido but i think I make it better and I don’t even know how to cook. Soup was oily and just not a good taste. I guess I’m comparing it to Eduardo’s Mexican restaurant in Corona. Waitress was nice enough.
