This was our first time here. We liked how colorful the place was, and it kind of reminded me of mexico.

I would have never guessed that a small restaurant down a tiny alley in Poulsbo Washington would have ranked among the top 5 best Mexican food places I’ve ever been!!

Went here for lunch after visiting the museums nearby and down the street from this restaurant, and am glad we chose this place over other choices we were considering. This was a very understated yet super cute, Little Mexican restaurant right in the heart of the historic downtown Poulsbo. It’s in an alley, almost easy to miss, but it’s super cute it piqued my interest along with all the others that I noticed stopping by just to take some photos.

Stopped by for a quick bite. The service was quick and friendly. We split a plate of the nachos. As vegetarians sometimes nachos can be lackluster without meat, but theirs had a complex, delicious flavor! The chips stayed crisp the entire time too. We would gladly return for more!

Watered down “salsa”, not blended. What happened? We have been coming here for over 20 yrs. Portions smaller, prices higher. And those phenomenal beans? Gone. So disappointing.

We have been going here for many years and love how fresh everything was, the chips were made the same day, the beans for the chips had a great flavor … But today was different. Not sure if the chips were a day old. But I asked for new chips and they had the same taste and texture. It might be they are re-using the oil to many times. Was not impressed with the taco salad. We were disappointed enough that we have lost interest in going there, after so many years. Also, my friend said he did not recognize anyone working there. I wonder if they have changed owners.

The price was higher than I thought, at least from some of the dishes charging, $5 for a basket of chips, and salsa was a little high. We got a 3 dip appetizer, and I didn’t even think to look at the price. It was all basic, not a lot of chips, and it was $15. I would I though for that they would have given us at least enough chips for the 3 dips they put on the plate. The food was good, not $20 a plate good. And the service was slow.

I ordered the fish tacos today and they were 16$ but they were very disappointing. The fish was a frozen fish fillet with guacamole, which was good but it also had a white glaze on top which was weirdly sweet. It was okay at best. I was disappointed because usually Casa Luna is very good.

Casa Luna is not a chain restaurant. The decor doesn’t feel canned. The music sounds like it’s tuned to a modern Mexican station, not a bunch of old mariachi hits. The food tastes individual too. I had an enormous Burrito Relleno. I could only eat half! My husband had a couple of enchiladas that he was able to customize: filling, sauce, and level of heat. (We couldn’t believe he ate the whole thing.)

We loved everything we ordered tonight. From start to finish the food was delicious. My picky kid ate the Chicken Mole and said he would give the place 50 stars.
