Wife and I ate there tonight and had great experience. It is obvious that Nicola owner chef is well trained chef Who has special touch making you feel like you are in Italy. Definite quality preparation and presentation above most Italian restaurants in area despite fact NJ has some great Italian restaurants. Not place for Parmaigiani or what many places serve. And service matched the quality We had two specials. Pappardelle in creamy brandy sauce with filet mignon tips excellent Our other entree – we shared both- had swordfish livornese with spinach and potatoes. Livornese was light almost pink sauce perfectly blended olives capers and swordfish was top quality. As Reataurant only has 6/7 tables I suspect will be hard to get a table once better known as only been open few months and reservations will be a must. Also byob another bonus. . Highly recommend

So delicious! Enjoyed a lovely dinner with 2 other couples. Not one complaint! App, entrees and desserts were all exceptional. Only problem is parking which will only get worse with the new building across the street.

The latest iteration of Nicola Moncada’s series of lovely boutique Sicilian restaurants in northern NJ. This one is in a former burger joint in Caldwell. The pasta, meat, and fish dishes are excellent, as always. It’s a very small place (about 6 tables) and parking is a problem, so make a reservation and arrive early. BYOB.
