Food was good and so was service, we ordered margarita chicken and california chicken burrito with margarita (the ultimate) and Corona in drinks. Everything we ordere was good, but 3 star is because they started cleaning the floor when we were eating food and it started smelling all cleaning supplies, they could have waited till all guest leave but they cared less it seems. I would definitely visit again to just for food.

Great restaurant, great customer services, BIG portion sizes. However….. prices for meals change depending on who you speak to that day (especially for takeout) I’m new to Frederick and got take out from this place 3 times in one week. I ordered the same exact Chicken fajita bowl and paid 3 different prices!! That range from $9-$13. Confirm the price of your meal if you order by takeout EVERYTIME!

Second time trying Casa Rico. I would say their food is ok. Not the best Mexican food I’ve had but not horrible. The one thing that they make well there is their chips and salsa. We ordered the Chicken Fajitas and Mexi Roll.

I got a fajita taco salad and it didn’t have any refried beans in it, which made it a little on the dry side. But the shrimp, peppers and onions were still good. The chips here were a little thinner and the salsa was chunky which I like. But the queso was pretty bland. Our server didn’t check in on us or ask if we needed anything. There are so many good Mexican restaurants these days that it’s the little things that can make a big difference. Our server did not check in with us to see if we needed anything. He certainly didn’t seem like he was enjoying his job. I’m sure it’s a tough gig. At the end of the day it’s really up to you but I think your money is better spent elsewhere

Let’s play a game..can u spot the mold? Service could have been quicker/more attentive. Other food was hot and tasty. Thankful I did not get anything else with cheese except the taco. Iced tea tasted off. Churro tasted of corn tortillas and flan was tough around the edges.Was $50 total including a small tip.Prob. Will not be going back which is a shame. First time here and was super excited to try it out!

Three of us enjoyed three different entrees, and each of them were delicious! Our waitress was polite, full of smiles, and very knowledgeable about the menu. We all commented on the music being at a low level so we could talk in normal talking voices.

Drive back to Ohio from Baltimore hubby and I stopped for quick lunch. Chips are homemade which was good but a little grease left on chips. The salsa was definitely made in house .. fresh and tasty. The hot salsa is a tomatillo base with jalapeños blended smooth. I got the tortilla soup with shredded chicken. The base was a hearty tomato – very tasty! Clean location with super friendly staff. Highly recommend this location – family friendly.

We were quick to be seated and our waiter took our order. Now I don’t hold it against anyone with a heavy accent but our waiter didn’t understand us and we didn’t understand him. It was very frustrating. We never received our queso appetizer and our waiter disappeared. Our main dishes were brought out by a different waitress that said our food had been sitting waiting to be served. My rice was room temp and my beans were actually cold. Not room temp, cold. The food was mediocre. If you are looking for a good Mexican place for dinner, give this one a pass. I really wish I could give a better review.
