Service wasnt the issue here. The food wasnt horrible as was the authenticity of the mexican cuisine. Yes, this isnt the south where your grandma from Mexico cooks a mean caldo de pollo. I ordered the lunch special Molcajete. Different it was. The sauce seemed home-made, but the meats were drowned in it. Rice was missing crucial flavor.

I love this place. Don’t get here often but wished I lived closer. I had the chicken fajitas. They were on special $2 off. It was a lot of food! Great value. Fantastic service. The chips and the salsa were the best. Warm and fresh. Looking forward to my next trip to Archbold.

Casa vieja has a very large menu of delightful Mexican meals. Unfortunately years ago I ordered the chicken and rice and that is the only thing I’ve ever ordered, it is perfect, every single time I have ordered it. I hope you have a wonderful time when you eat here.
