I’ve never been to a Casey’s and had a bad experience until we moved to West Des Moines. The Casey’s on 22nd has got to be the worst store. I’ve been treated poorly several times. Also, on 3 seperate occasions almost overcharged which at this point I’m wondering if it’s truly a mistake. I’ve noticed the overcharge and spoke up, but if I wasn’t paying attention would have been charged double on all separate occasions. Be careful when you stop here! There pizza is awful as well. After this last stop it will be my last! Providing this review to warn others.

I try not to complain because I know working for the public can suck. So think of this as just a disappointment and not a complaint…but what is the point of offering subs if we can never get one. I come to this location quite a bit as it is by work….I come for lunch a lot as it is quick. Every time I try to order one, either they claim they aren’t staffed enough to be able to make one or like today, I went in 12:42 pm…right during lunch and couldn’t get a sub because they were out of bread? How are you out of bread during lunch? They never even gave me a bread option…just told me they were out of bread and it was in the oven…even though you offer more than one type. And it’s not just this location.

Tonight, we ordered pizza from the Casey’s website and they have door dash deliver. They delivered the wrong pizza, which I’m not sure who was at fault for this but we understand mistakes happen. What happened following this is what was so disappointing.

Ordered a pizza from here they told me 20 minutes. Showed up 20 minutes later and they didn’t have any food in the oven told me to hold on when I asked to pick up my pizza while they just stood there talking amongst one another. Finally after another five minutes of standing there listening to there b.s. I look up and they are just putting the pizza in. It’s been over 25 minutes by this time and they tell me it will be a few more minutes. I went paid for it and sat outside. CMe back in later and the pizza sat there while they talked. They told me to hold on again while they didn’t work just sat there and talked about their lives. Finally after telling them 3 times my pizza was sitting there they put it in a box. I asked if they made it the way I ordered it and of course they hadn’t. I just asked for my money back. Won’t come back here ever. The guy with the tattoos was rude to me when I told him that my order was sitting there while making me wait. Completely unprofessional. Should really find some employees who care about what they are doing. People give you money for a service not to listen to you chat and catch attitude.

I put in an order online for a pizza. They are apparently out of chicken, which I have no problem with, but they didn’t tell me until I got here and asked for my order. I’ve now been waiting 20 minutes for my replacement. I’m not sure why the app requires you to give a phone number if not to prevent exactly this kind of situation. They also did this to at least two other customers who are also standing around waiting for their orders.

They have those new annoying video ads on all the gas pumps now. They blast super loud advertisments and conservative news at you while you fill up. You cannot skip or mute the ads at all.

Inside the gal at the counter was great! Paid for the best car wash, left my car dirty in several places. They used to have a soft brush that they would pre scrub the front end. I asked the kid about it, he seemed clueless! Consequently I wasted $14 dollars for nothing.

I go here often and normally it isn’t a bad experience but it isn’t anything special. Today I came and the cashier greeted us which never happens and after we got what we needed we had the absolute pleasure of having him ring everything up. The cashiers name was Jayden and he is by far the best worker I have ever come across at Casey’s or any gas station for that matter! He made me want to come back and forget about all the not so pleasant times I’ve spent at this Casey’s. If you have the chance to go here, Jayden will make your visit worth it!
