Came through Maquoketa 6/6/22 and stopped for gas. At the time E Platt St./64 was being tore up (road work). Despite the roadwork and mess it entails, the store was kept clean, especially the floor. The pics I have added of the Men’s restroom are reality for a Casey’s store with the traffic and business that they receive daily, which I am not going to “knock” them for it.

Store is clean and has exceptional night staff, but not so much during daytime hours. I see that the so called manager likes to leave reviews about herself, but needless to say this little girl needs a position with much lesser responsibility. She (Nicole) is far from a manager. Hiring techniques are obviously based on physical appearance and not experience or ability to do the job as seen with the daytime employees. I personally have only seen 3 employees at the most in the past several months that I would hire at my business, and currently all 3 of them work nights serving drunks from the bar down the street when they should be the faces that greet the customers that really count during the day. Now that worthless Mary has been removed from the picture maybe Kevin will make some needed changes to the management staff and have it run like a real business. Thinking about having coffee with him soon to discuss this as manager to manager. Very upsetting to see businesses in small towns run like they’re in the “ghetto”.

There is a younger cashier there who is rude to customers. I went there for coffee and informed the cashier the creamer was empty. She didn’t acknowledge i said anything. I proceeded to place a bunch of mini packets of creamer in a cup and then went to get coffee. The coffee machines were on but did not have any coffee in them. I turned to her and said there wasn’t any coffee either, she replied “i know” when i asked why she watched me put all the little packs of creamer in my cup but failed to let me know there wasn’t any coffee she ignored me and continued to look at the register. This was not the only encounter with this girl, every encounter has been rude. She never smiles or greets customers either. She looks about 19 years old. Not very professional! Was a regular, now going to take extra time to travel to Kwik Star. Can’t believe how rude and snarky she was!

I give Casey’s 5 stars because we’ve been ordering pizza every since we’ve moved here they really don’t have major pizza places here but tried it out I was bragging about the pizza it actual taste awesome until the I order last Wednesday night the pizza was horrible taco pizza and sausage pizza the cheesy bread sticks good but too salty the chips were stale it just didn’t look or taste good like all the other times we order but I love going here great customer service everyone is so nice but this experience I didn’t like at all but Wednesday my order was 0 stars food was horrible
