It is an excellent place to eat for people in Red Oak, Iowa and those traveling through. We think it is great for us as we can order from our phone and go pick it up and it is always delicious and they have a large menue. Service is excellent too. We really appreciate all they do for us.

Johnny’s is the best food around. Have never had a bad meal. The mushrooms and onion rings are the best I have had. Service is super. Give it a try and you will love it.

I live in Texas, but am from Red Oak. I remember going to Johnnys when I was young over 30 years ago when Johnny and Bonnie owned it. Was back in town and found out it was reopened and went for old time sake. Great food, great service,and exceptionally good steaks.

The food was good to wait staff was excellent, unfortunately the kitchen was not very cooperative that day and food came out very slow, 1 or 2 plates at a time. The owner of the restaurant made everything right and did not charges for our meals. Hopefully they can get the kitchen straightened out to match the rest of the help. This will be a good place to eat

Wait staff was friendly and accommodating. I ordered the 8oz sirloin steak. If they did season it you couldnt taste it. The dinner roll felt like it had sat out all day.

The wait staff was nice the kitchen staff on the other hand not so much. Ordered chicken fried steak mashed potatoes and gravy, after waiting for about 15 mins the wait came out and explained that the food was done but there was no gravy.
