I used to love this place and eat there often. They have been horrible the last two times I went. I will never go here again. I have no problem paying a decent price for food if it’s worth it. Usually I get the carne asada fries and a bean and cheese burrito. Today, I just got the bean and cheese burrito. It was 5.71 (which I don’t care about the price) but it was the smallest burrito. Honestly less than half of the size than they usually make them. I am not even kidding, it was the size of a Taco Bell bean and cheese burrito!!! Completely unacceptable. If it wasn’t so hot, I would’ve took it back to complain but it isnt even worth it. I just will never spend another penny there and will share the same with all my friends and family.

This place is awful. I ordered tacos and the tacos shells were so hard and cold, I couldn’t eat them. The meat was hard, I believe it must have been sitting there all day and warmed up in a microwave, both the shells and the meat were overly re-heated. The staff here is rude, especially if you ask a question about anything, their customer service is the worst I’ve seen in the high desert. I gave this place a second chance and wow it was worst than the enchiladas I ordered that I had to return, they were terrible. Think twice if you plan to eat here, there are better places that are way less expensive and taste 100% better and on top of that will treat their paying customers much more friendlier. You can best believe I will never eat here again. Just terrible one star is too much

Dinner at Castenadas was great food was made correctly and fast. Went through the drivethru and was done in a flash. The Horchata was good also the size and quantity of food you get. I recommend this location for some good Mexican food.

We just came to get breakfast here and it was bad, they use yellow cheese for all their menu items and since when does Mexican food use sticky yellow cheese? The eggs and chorizo is so bland and the beans tasteless, in what part of Mexico do they put lettuce on top of eggs? And the drinks like Jamaica is really tasteless. It’s insane when you have to spend 30 dollars on two plates of bad food, the enchiladas were oily and filled with that yellow cheese, I would be understanding with the white cheese but yellow?? This is that stereotypical white people mexican food.

Serving sizes poor at best, going downhill fast…. Last draw for me. I will NOT return. They have taken their drinks off the combos. I hope it’s worth a 16oz drink that causes you to lose customers. I’ve spoken with a few who will not return due to these issues mentioned. Not to mention you plates you are now using drip and drain through the bottom… Good job… update… I said I wouldn’t return but here I am again. I ordered from one of the combos displayed in their menu, an enchilada de queso, with a tostada. Beans and rice were served as a side. The beans were served to me in a puddle of grease, the rice was fairly decent and the tostada had no meat. Literally, they gave me a tostada with only beans on it. If all I wanted to eat was beans for lunch, i would not have paid $15 for the plate, i would have went home and put some beans in the microwave (would still taste better than what i got at Castañedas). The enchilada, was also soaked in grease and was honestly disgusting to look at (I attached pictures of it). The enchiladas they give for free at school are honestly better than this. Would never recommend this place, if you’re looking for fast mexican food, the best option is Los Alazanes.Really disappointed with the food. Will never go there again.

I honestly give zero stars, but in order to make a statement, i have to click a star. My daughter ate only half of her California burrito from this place..I ended up taking her to urgent care. They diagnosed her with food poisoning..She was and still is really sick bad..I’ll never ever will eat there again and im warning all my family and friends and spreading the word..Food poisoning is very serious..
