I’m not sure why this place has 4.8 star. The dining experience is very weird. I am not accustomed to their beans. They looked gross and were not very good. You walk in and there is a lady at a counter across the store. Not sure what to do. The Pollo Plate was very salty. I would not recommend it.

This is an authentic Mexican place. The food is exceptional. Like 5 star place. The chips were homemade and seasond perfectly. The ingredients were fresh, and the dish was well done. We were blown alway. If you’re a foodie, you need to try this place.

Service was terrible. Waitress didn’t know what she was doing. Food was burnt, cold and the waitress brought out a duplicate order claiming we ordered it. The waitress also completely messed up our order. She brought out chicken instead of steak.

My husband and I ate lunch at Castillo yesterday. I had the steak tacos and he ordered the pollo platter. The platter came with a generous portion of black beans, rice, salad and chicken. My tacos were served with just steak. That’s because there is a taco bar for customers to add whatever they want. They have different kinds of salas, onions, peppers, cilantro, radishes etc. Here’s a pic of what my steak tacos looked like after I visited the taco bar. The restaurant is a little bit out of the way, but definitely worth the drive. Prices are very reasonable and there is plenty of parking too.

The cashier was absolutely wonderful from taking order to bringing our food to the table. She is kind, welcoming, and definitely a people person. I dined at a time that wasn’t extremely busy. Family friendly atmosphere. The amazing part is the delicious authentic food. I’ve not had Mexican food like this ever. I’ve dined in some expensive Mexican restaurants. None can compare to the quality food and drinks at this place.

Authentic Mexican food, the folks in there cook like it’s home! The older lady who works the front is super friendly and always kind whenever I come. It’s a small spot with several tables nothing too fancy but the food is fresh and always good.
