Such a great gem in Cary! Four of us ate there for lunch today and the food was absolutely delicious! We did a mix of brunch items and regular menu items and every single one was good. We also got custom bloody Marys which were also SO GOOD. We will be back for sure!

The pineapple upside down cake martini was the best cocktail I’ve had in a long time! The Mac and cheese was so good that I’d probably order two next time! We had four different people come to our table to make sure we didn’t need anything. I didn’t care for the indoor seating- it’s pretty small and dark, but there’s plenty of outdoor seating for a warm evening!

The good was delicious . There were five of us sharing the tapas snd a bottle of wine the Brussel sprouts, roasted potatoes and mixed charcuterie board were fabulous as always . The new item I tried was the crostini- it was beyond delicious . It is wonderful to sit with friends or family shading dishes . The service was outstanding . I was excited because we are heading to Europe in a few weeks giving me a little preview. I have been here numerous times and will keep coming bd k fir their excellent food .

Unpretentious. I had a momentary lapse of reason, but found the door. My initial reaction…omg…this is a dive bar…not the fine dining tapas I ecpected. I didn’t walk out, and damn–thank God! The bartenders were all so very attentive, and knowledgeable about wine. The wine list by the glass is actually over-the-top broad: there are so many options available that I’d bring beginners here to learn about what they like. I sampled 4-5 drinking 3 and have to say the unoaked tempranillo was on point. The mussels (not on the menu but a $5 Friday special were spectacular and worth $20 easy…still salivating over them. I also tried the Korean style fried pork–very nice. Overall, I simply have to say the service and kitchen will not disappoint and will in fact surprise in the best way. Don’t let your 1st impression inside dissuade–I love dive bars anyway, but this place is NOT a dive bar–it’s swanky and serves quashable fine wine and cocktails and quite a list of beer (I finished w/ a Laphroag Old Fashioned) and service is impecable. Taylor and Liisa were so patient with me, a guy from Austin just trying to navigate Cary while watching over my sister’s place. 5 stars.

I recently visited the Catalan Tapas Bar and I can say without hesitation that it was one of the best dining experiences I have had in a very long time. The atmosphere is lively and bustling, with a warm and welcoming vibe that immediately puts you at ease.

Walked into the most welcoming environment!!! From the art on the walls to the stars painted on the ceiling to the most welcoming staff, my party was more than happy with your experience!! We had the empanadas, fried pork belly, bloody Mary, pain killer, and soooo much more! Everything was absolutely delicious and we will most definitely be back!!

I really did enjoy eating at this place my brother said he happen to see this place because he used to work around the corner and wanted to give it a try. I am glad we did because the food was outstanding and the service was great. They kept the food coming and the staff was knowledgeable about the menu. The only reasons I am giving 4 stars is the size of the place it was very hard to maneuver when I had to go to the restroom and even when we came inside we was cramped up with other people and it was cold so that did not help. We also had to wait about 15 minutes before being seated for our reservations no huge deal I understand the place is small but hopefully they move into a bigger location.

We gave this place another try. The food was worse than the first time. It was around 5pm and they already ran out of the $5 special tapas item. My husband and I shared the Wild mushroom dish with baguette and a rice dish for two people. The two slices of baguette should have been toasted, they tasted stale. I don’t know what made the mushrooms wild? They tasted like regular mushrooms in a slightly burned paprika garlic broth. The rice in the rice dish tasted good but the seafood/sausage/chicken stew (?) that was on top was not good. I’m pretty sure the seafood came from one of those frozen trays with calamari, shrimp and mussels. The meat was better but still not great. Portion size was small for two people, but I didn’t mind as ,again, it tasted like the paprika was burned. My husband had a small $5 margarita which he liked. Not going back. Very disappointing. I’ve been to Spain, this is not good tapas, if it is even tapas. If the small plates are fusion don’t call them tapas, just call them small plates and change your name. Catalan sounds like there should be authentic tapas available.

Cute tapas bar with a lot of vegan options! My favorite vegan dish was the Champinones al Ajillo. If you get it I recommend getting some extra bread to dip into the broth. The drink selection is also super great! My favorite drink was the coco mojito!

I like this place. The food is great. I love the options here. I’ve been here for brunch and dinner. I enjoyed both experiences. I had the potatoes brava. They were good. They made my eggs perfectly.
