Don’t pass up this gem because it’s not a flashy chain. It was some of the best food we’ve had in a long time. Everything was fresh and delicious. When we first arrived they brought us coleslaw, a pot of beans, and some wonderful hush puppies. The country fried steak and all the vegetables tasted like my Mammaw’s home cooking. The okra was unbelievable! The folks that run the restaurant made us all feel at home. We can’t wait to go back.

We went based on the reviews given but it was a bad idea. Two cars in the parking lot at the height of lunch should have warned us. Hush puppies were overcooked but there were a lot of them. The beans and coleslaw were good but unremarkable. Ordered the two piece plate each which was a lot of food but it smelled like old fish and seemed undercooked as well. The server was really nice and service was very prompt. Fairly pricey for two as well.

Best Catfish I’ve EVER had! Stop here! You won’t regret it! The beans, coleslaw, French fries, hush puppies and turnip greens are amazing too. I think it’s family owned and the older couple who served us were the sweetest people ever! Very quick service! I know we’ll be back already and we live 5 hours away!

Table of 5 – all ordered catfish. The food tasted good, but the salt and pepper shakers on the table were filthy!! We tried to exchange with other tables but they were all filthy. We let the waitress know and she never got us any clean ones. We won’t be back – if they can’t clean what is on the table, what’s not cleaned in the kitchen.

Has a real cabin feel to it. The Food was amazing, The waiter was very sweet, and it also came out fairly quick. They also have stuff you don’t normally see in restaurants nowadays such as gator tail and frog legs (both of which were very good) 10/10 would highly recommend.

Great food, huge portions. We had what was supposed to be a 2 piece & 3 piece catfish dinner. The fish is cut into smaller pieces so I think we ended up with probably 15 pieces of fish. It was fantastic, well seasoned & fresh tasting. Definitely recommend.

Such a pleasant and friendly atmosphere. Very good service and the American catfish was as good as any I have ever ate and believe me, I have eat a lot! The three piece dinner will be all you need even on your hungriest day. I will certainly be back when I travel through that area again.

Catfish was the highlight of the meal hence the name… coleslaw hush puppies and beans come with meals and were ok but nothing extraordinary. Service was ok but they were extremely slow when we entered so workers were just sitting around in dining area. We just expected a little more with all of the great reviews on here and got an average at best meal and experience.
