Food was very, very fresh. I like that they have many fresh side options. Best Mexican restaurant in town. I think our server was new though because she had a hard time remembering our orders. But please be patient with the servers as it is still a new restaurant. Actually some good Mexican food in town for a change. Drinks are excellent too! I will definitely be back!

Wonderful new restaurant in Cleveland, TN. The menu is different than a typical Mexican restaurant, it’s a wide variety of authentic Mexican food. Everything was very fresh and the restaurant is clean and has beautiful decor. The only downside was that we had to pay for chip and salsa refills. We will definitely be back.

Amazing menu. Great service. Incredible food. We had the crab and cheese dip- amazing!; The chips were warm and the salsa was good. Baja shrimp tacos were fantastic! Very cool decor. Will definitely be back.

I moved from Austin, and was used to texmex, spicy. Hard to find that spicy Mexican in Cleveland, but the food at Catrinas is great. It’s beautifully presented, delicious, and great prices. I’ve had the carnitas , which are delicious, the caldo de Cameron ( delicious ), and the grilled salmon with cream sauce. Everything is so tasty. The hot sauce is tasty, but not hot, but you can get their habanero sauce, and it’s spicy and good.

I have mixed reviews for Catrina’s. The people were really friendly. The free salsa tastes fine but it is essentially what I call “tomato paste” and nowhere near as good as the salsa I am used to getting with my Mexican food. On the other hand the Burrito California was excellent. There are some other things on the menu I wouldn’t mind trying but the items cost more than I’m used to paying at other places.

I’m only giving this place 5 stars because it doesn’t let me put 10!! I loved the way they decorated the place. The food is so fresh, the server was nice and helped us order (we’re vegetarian). The plating was beautiful and if you’re looking for something spicy, definitely ask for their spicy tomatillo sauce. Will definitely be going back and would 100% recommend you to go.

I’m not sure where to start. The salsa was just tomato paste and when I said something, the manager brought out 3 bowls that were supposed to be salsa. One of the bowls was a green enchilada sauce and the other was a red enchilada sauce, the one that was actually salsa was decent but not great. The Charro beans were just beanie weenies. The whole corn was frozen and then boiled and then put on the grill for some grill marks. The black beans were canned, the rice was mush. All the meat was over cooked and dry. The cheese sauce was bland and milk has more flavor. This place is all about trying to make you think something is better than it is by presentation. When paying, I said that I was not impressed and that nothing was fresh and the manager wanted to argue that it was. We will never be going back. If I could give negative stars, I would.
