$140.00
Charles Krug Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley)
Aromas of anise and pomegranate that meld with smoky overtones. Flavors of ripe red berries and hickory bring out hints of nutmeg on the palate. Well-balanced oak gives way to a smooth, rich finish for this exceptional wine.

Silver Oak Cabernet Sauvignon (Alexander Valley)
Vibrant aromatics of black cherry, wisteria and sweet baking spices with an elegant and expressive palate echoing the berry, floral and spice form the nose.
$175.00
Caymus Napa Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley)
Rich fruit and ripe, with velvety tannins. As approachable in youth as in maturity. An alluring plum red, with notes of dark cherries, chocolate shavings and violets. A hint of Napa Valley dust comes through on the nose, which has an equal balance of fruit, oak and earthiness. Enters the palate with a soft suppleness, peaking with flavors of cassis, dark berries, lavender and nutmeg, with an exceptionally long finish.
$175.00
Don Melchor Cabernet Sauvignon (Maipo Valley, Chile)
This muscular red packs a melange of roasted plum, cassis and macerated wild berry on a full-bodied form. There is plenty of fresh acidity and tannic structure, as the long finish unwinds with layers of Madura tobacco and humus, with a graceful note of wild flowers.
$180.00
Nickel & Nickel Hayne Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley)
The concentration of this wine is revealed as mixed berry aromas combined with graphite, vanilla and toast to excite the senses. The palate offers candied flavors of raspberry, cherry and plum wrapped up with hits of dust and spice. A coating texture unites these flavors creating a package that is rich from start to finish.
$230.00
Cakebread Benchland Select Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley)
Shows wonderfully fragrant, captivating aromas of dark cherry, fig, boysenberry and blackberry, with notes of loam, milk chocolate and brown spices and supple tannins.
$300.00
Stags Leap Cask 23 Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley)
The wine opens with deep red and black cherry aromas along with notes of juicy strawberry, cocoa and spice. Elegant texture with very fine tannins and great acidity. On the palate, the wine is full bodied with rich dark berry fruit with hints of cedar and white truffle that lead to a long fruit and spice driven finish.
$380.00
Quintessa Red Blend (Napa Valley)
A seductive wine beginning with intense black fruits and warm spice, finishing with dense yet silky tannin. Opening with aromas of black cherry and black currant, the wine expands in the glass as notes of clove, bay leaves and dark chocolate layer on top of crushed rock, graphite and red earth. Fine-grained tannin and dense fruit bound together by lively acidity and a long finish complete the picture.
$380.00
Insignia Red Blend (Napa Valley)
The Bordeaux blend opens with heady blackberry and plum aromatics laved with baking spices, cardamom and espresso. Focused and fresh, this exceptionally concentrated wine displays elegant tannin structure and a silky mouthfeel layered with dark fruit and sweet vanilla bean, cracked black pepper and bittersweet chocolate.

Cavanaugh’s is a MUST if you’re in the downtown Evansville area and want an upscale meal, cocktails, and ambiance. They got us in for a last minute Saturday evening reservation, and it was very nice. I wish I remembered our servers name. She was amazing and so attentive.

Great Experience! The piano bar is next level! Just steps away from the casino, but more importantly, a great place to take a date! Prime rib is fantastic!

Amirah took excellent care of us. She is absolutely top notch! The atmosphere is wonderful, piano bar is fun. The food…not that great. Definitely not worth the price. I appreciate and will pay for great food, but I probably won’t return for a full meal. I would recommend staying in the bar and ordering an appetizer.

Ate 12/26/2020 with dinner reservation at 6PM. Expected restaurant to be pretty empty but there were about 15 other tables filled, but still nice atmosphere. Fantastic food as always and great service. Some menu items have been removed since our last visit due to coronavirus, including the crème brûlée dessert we wanted to try. (What you see on the online menu is accurrate). We instead had a chocolate lava cake that was delicious. I got the 22oz bone-in ribeye medium rare and it was cooked to perfection. An absolutely melt in your mouth steak. Makes Texas Roadhouse look like McDonald’s in comparison! We also loved the spinach & artichoke dip as our appetizer. The lobster mac & cheese side was great as well.

If you don’t order a steak you doing yourself a disservice. Came here on a weeknight for some drinks and dinner before hitting the casino and was very please with the service and large selection of steak and sides (scalloped potatoes are a must)The live music at the bar was a great complement to the excellent dinner. Will definitely be back if I am in a town again.

Had hoped for a romantic Valentine evening with my friend in what is arguably the best restaurant in town, but we received the first table inside the restaurant next to the piano bar. Lots of commotion and a wobbly table. We arrived at 5:15 and had reservations for about a month, and there were many empty tables elsewhere,so the its unclear what it takes to get into a better location. I’m not one to complain, so we accepted the location, but it was noisy next to the bar. Having said that, dinner was great and our waiter Collin was outstanding. He suggested we share a salad, and we are glad we did as it was plenty and would have been too large for one person. Our steaks were done to perfection and the cheesecake selections were excellent. If we had been seated in a better location, this would have been 5 stars.

Not worth the price. Ribeye steak tasted like a sirloin. It wasn’t flavorful at all. The best part of the meal was my mixed drink.

My friend and I went there for our Christmas dinner. We were offered 2 options for seating, so that was nice. We choose to set by the fireplace. Was nice and quiet, but was a little hard to have conversations at times with the music. Music was a great touch though, so we didn’t mind. The bread was amazing with the twist of the garlic butter. Our steaks were cooked to perfection, and mine could have been cut with a butter knife. Ended our meal with the turtle cheesecake, which was wonderful. All the staff were very nice and welcoming. Will definitely be back again. Would recommend. Worth the money
