If you want a Mexican breakfast in Pearland, especially during the week, go try Celaya. I was pleasantly surprised, I had seen it many times over the years but never thought to stop. The prices are incredible for this day and age. The food was fresh and tasty. It was a nice, clean, and quiet environment, a great place to relax and start the day off before all the hustle and bustle of life. The service was great. A barbacoa taco for $2.75… wow. We ordered the migas plate, huevos rancheros plate with sausage instead of bacon and 2 barbacoa tacos. Tortillas are homemade. I even put some of my barbacoa on my migas and still had enough for my taco. Support a local business and try this place, I’m going to try dinner there soon.

This place is very quiet for breakfast. Our server was quick & friendly. Food came out quick, hot & tasted ok. For the price, the plate I ordered was good. It’s a little dark for my preference. It didn’t lookl Ike they had the ceiling lights turned on. It looked like they were relying on natural light, but they only had front windows. It will probably not be my first choice for a breakfast spot, but it was alright.

I have 2 friends who really love Celaya, so after a hiatus from my experience with just okay food a few years ago, I gave it another shot. The salsa is wonderful and the 2 dishes I’ve now had were delicious – spicy shrimp soup and sour cream enchiladas (I had to stop myself from cleaning my plate). Big portion sizes, yummy frozen margaritas and free ice cream. Give it a try and get those chicken enchiladas!

The carnitas were so flavorful, moist and tender. Refried beans didn’t have any flavor. Salsa was warm and tasty. Chips were great unlike other restaurants that have tough, thick ones. I’ll definitely be back for the carnitas!

My husband and I decided to stop by after a mutual friend’s recommendation and are glad we did. The food was delicious, affordable and humbling waitstaff. From the moment we walked in we were greeted and escorted to our seats. Food options are great, fast service, good margaritas and the attentive care made it a great dining experience. You don’t get that a lot anymore.
