Updating a previous review of Cellar Door. As always the vibes, coffee and food are second to none. I did want to add a photo of a special sandwich called the Hot Dip Chicken sandwich. I can easily say…with no hesitation, that this is the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. Fried chicken breast on a tasted bagel with hot, sweet peppers and pickled cabbage. Everything on this sandwich was perfect…texture, heat, sweetness. If you are within a 12 hour drive of Lawrence…..go there and try this sandwich.

First time trying this place. I had their bacon egg and cheese bagel with a mocha. They had vegan options for my friend, and I even got a couple of baked goodies to enjoy later. I will definitely be back!

Cellar Door is such a gem and worth all the visits. The food, baked goods, and coffee are excellent (I had the matcha latte, breakfast sandwich, and most of the pastries) and you can tell just how high quality everything is. The atmosphere is inviting and the staff is friendly as well. Aside from Decade (its sister cafe), there really is no other place in Lawrence like Cellar Door.

My partner introduced me to this place and it’s been our main go to for coffee, breakfast, and the more than occasional sweet treat in Lawrence. Love the offerings they have and the staff is amazing! Cannot go wrong with their bagels or a chocolate babka bun

Got my order to go on 6/1. I ordered the bacon, egg and cheese on an everything bagel which was very tasty. I also ordered a blackberry financier, chocolate babka, and a half dozen English muffins. All of their baked goods are well made and flavorful. Automatically adding 20% tip to orders, especially on to go orders, is wrong in my opinion but that seems to be a pretty standard practice with a lot of restaurants these days, not just here. What if the service wasn’t worth 20%? What if it is worth more than that? Raise the prices and let customers determine their own tips.
