We had an excellent dinner here tonight. So much was made from scratch. Focused on quality and taste. Really loved it. Will return.

The staff was fast and friendly. The food was delicious, we ordered the Alfredo pasta and signature lasagna! We sat outside on the patio but inside it had a romantic setting. This place also has a full bar.

Pathetic experience. Visiting family from out of town and decided to go here since we were a large party and they weren’t busy at all. After being what seemed to be obvious annoyance to the host, we were seated and promptly had to wait awhile for menus to arrive. Once they did we sat for about 10 minutes deciding only to be told they were out of just about everything and they didn’t have any of the drinks we wanted to order. Needless to say, we all got up and took our $300 worth of business elsewhere. Pathetic establishment that’s also run down inside.

We had an event here last week, and the owner was incredibly rude to our organizers (two really nice girls). I’m not sure why we gave him a second chance; last time we ate here, the overpriced food was extremely mediocre (I’d describe the sauce as watery). I will never go back here, and I encourage you to do the same.

Nothing special. Waited a long time for someone to wait on us. They charged us $3 to split a plate that was barely big enough for one person. The pasta was good, though, as it is homemade. But avoid the chicken parm. Tasted like a frozen chicken patty.

Best Italian restaurant I’ve ever been to. The pizza the rest of my table got is as good as it gets (to those “if it has stuff on it it came from New York, not Italy” types, have you ever heard of Roman pizza?). The gnocchi’s texture was perfect, and the mushroom sauce tasted *so* strongly of mushrooms. Gelato is the richest and creamiest tasting of frozen desserts, but did you know it has about 1/4 fewer calories than ice cream?

I got the grilled grouper and broccoli rapini. The flavors in the grouper were really subtle, cooked perfectly, great meal. The broccoli rapini was also done really really well. Super tasty, nicely cooked. I’ve had this badly done at many restaurants, but Ceritano’s knocked it out of the park. I even offered another serving for dessert! 🙂

Had a Greek event here and the pizza was pretty bad, they weren’t ready for the number of people. All the pizza was undercooked and they ran out of plates. The building wasn’t big enough for the number of people there. The restaurant was set up in a pretty good way to allow people to move around.

If you are interested in booking a venue in Blacksburg I would cross this off the phone book immediately to save yourself time. First and foremost the service is absolutely awful. The bar tenders are so slow, and are not attentive. I ordered one drink and it took ten minutes when there was hardly a crowd. I then asked for my debit card back, which I could of found faster than them if I were blind. The bathrooms are very disgusting and it looks like the same bathrooms in the locker room at my old high school, which is being torn down because it is so old. Now the worst part is actually trying to book this place. The manager is the most unprofessional business man I have ever met in my entire life. He is condescending, immature, does not remember things as he said them to you (basically he is either a liar or he has horrible short term memory retention) and disrespectful. I would not be surprised if this place went out of business because quite frankly nobody who works under that guy has a clue as to what the hell is going on. Poor to fair is not an accurate assessment of the service, I would have to rename it putrid to be completely fair. If you decide to go here, I wish you good luck.

I won’t be back. Service was terrible …the waitress acted like she had never done this type of work before, and the food was sub par at best. They let items run out on the buffet, and then they told me my card was declined for payment. I used the card with no problem later that day. Not a good experience at all.
