Our first time trying Georgian food. Our Georgian friend chose lots of dishes to sample, so we feel we got an excellent idea of the beautiful food through her eyes. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The wait staff was knowledgeable and friendly. They were very accommodating to our natural curiosity. I’ve attached pics of our samples and although I don’t remember the names of each —all of it was definitely worth trying!!

We had an exceptional dining experience at this Georgian restaurant on the Upper East Side. The menu offered a delightful array of traditional dishes, each prepared with authentic flavors that left us craving for more. The staff made the visit even more enjoyable by providing excellent recommendations and service. I was particularly impressed with their Adjari khachapuri, khinkali and chicken skewers. We also got a honey cake for dessert which was a true masterpiece. Without a doubt, this restaurant has become my go-to spot for an unforgettable Georgian culinary journey.

Cute and clean place with nice/fast service. I went once for weekend brunch and once for lunch. Both times did not disappoint. I highly recommend the kikliko, Georgian style french toast. The chiji-piji, Georgian version of Shakshuka, was good but I will try something else next time. Drinks were tasty too.

12 out of 10! We wanted to experience a new cuisine and Chama Mama did not disappoint. The service was attentive and friendly, but not overbearing. The timing of all courses was impeccable.

I was recommended to visit this place from a good friend of mine. She is native from Georgia. My mum and I ordered the omelet with kebab and the khachapuri. Delicious choices indeed. The service is fast and attentive which is key to any establishment. We chose outdoor seating since it was too beautiful to sit inside. Chama Mama is a great choice for lunch.

Great service. Luis was amazing! The boiled lamb wasn’t great… I’m not a fan of boiled meat. Taste of Georgia! Wow! Just ask for more bread though. That tease you with three pieces. The bread is way to good for three pieces.

Great food! Solid place to eat a ton with friends. We had the khachipuri, the mixed grill, a ton of the bread with that red sauce which was very addicting. Honestly that might have been the highlight. Overall great place and would certainly go back.

We had a fantastic lunch on our last day visiting the city. This was our first time trying a Georgian restaurant. Our waiter helped make sure we understood the menu, helped with substitutions when they didn’t have a particular drink, and did a great job preparing our bread dish to begin the meal. It was beautiful, fresh food. It was so good we took the leftover bread/cheese bowl on the flight and all the way back home to enjoy later.
