On vacation with friends and wanted to give this place a try. We liked the atmosphere and the food was pretty good.

After an afternoon of hitting up the beach, we decided to try this local taco joint! I have to say, these tacos were absolutely amazing. My wife got the brisket and shrimp, and I got the grilled chicken and shrimp. Excellent choices. We also got the chip sampler (not pictured) and you could definitely tell the guac, salsa and queso were all home made. I definitely recommend!

So to start, this place is really, really cute! They had a really good menu and it’s the perfect place for after a day in the sun. We were a little confused when we walked in because everyone looked our way but didn’t speak. We decided to just sit ourselves, and after a few minutes of looking at the menu, we had no idea they don’t come to your table. You have to order at the bar, then sit yourself, so there was confusion there. We both got 2 Carne Asada tacos, which had great taste, but for $5 each, you would think they would be bigger than what they were. The Elotes in a cup was very good, highly recommended! They had a bunch of outside games and a little arcade area inside as well, which was really cool!

Terrible service and food! The cashier didn’t greet us and I felt like I kept bothering her every time I asked for something. I asked her not to put the toppings on two orders of my food and regardless it came with the toppings. The food is terrible. The food is cold. It’s not made to order. It’s not even real Mexican food. The cheese dip was hotter than the food. The cashier was taking shots. I asked for two straws and the straws didn’t have a wrapper or anything. I thought that was strange. The cashier grabbed them from the counter and who knows where they’ve been. I spent $100 on the food and it was terrible. Nothing worse than spending a lot of money on cold food that’s horrible. I didn’t even hear any food grilling or cooking which probably explains why the food cold. If you’re looking for somewhere to drink, maybe it’s the place for you. But as far as food goes, save your money and go to Publix. It’s better.

The tacos were extremely small, the meat was cold and dry, the tortilla was flavorless, and to top it off they were very expensive (and I got a discount because it was “taco Tuesday”).

We came to Chamacos Tacos & Surf with high expectations based on the reviews, but unfortunately, our experience was not as great as we hoped it would be. When we arrived at around 6:30 pm, the line was almost out the door. By the time we got to the front, they were out of the taquitos and watermelon margarita, which was disappointing since they were highly rated.

Really liked the atmosphere! The margs were fantastic and loved all the tacos, especially barbacoa and carnitas! Elote corn was too spicy though! We will be back! Highly recommend!!

Pretty much Americanized take on classic Mexican tacos. None of the tacos had any sauces with them and they don’t have sauces on the table. The corn tortillas were dry. Only highlight was the elote in a bowl, super flavorful and spicy.
