Popped in with a couple new friends who were showing me around and we came here to grab a bite and a brew after some disc golf yesterday and lemme tell ya; damn good time if you’re looking for a good deal, good food, a laid back atmosphere and some staff that can show you a chill time. They’ve got Summer Shandy on tap (at least currently but it might be a year round option) which was perfect after a hot disc golf round.

Champs is located in Middleville, which is off the beaten path. But if you go there the food, atmosphere and service is great. I had a cheeseburger with everything, deluxe. The kitchen honored my request to make the burger smaller than a half pound. Hubby had a Philly Steak sub, with Au Jus type dip. The fries and steak fries were both very good.

My husband and I thought we would try this place after our walk. We asked a question on a menu item and the waitress said she didn’t know and that personally she doesn’t like that item….didn’t say she would check for us…so no answer. So…we ordered a California reuben with 2 side salads Insead of fries. After a long wait we received a reuben WITH FRIES and 2 very small side salads that we were charged 4.59 each instead the add on price of 1.99 each (as listed on the menu). The reuben was small with not much on it.

Excellent burger and crunchy coated fries. Hailey is a great server and overall, everyone seemed friendly and laid back. A family with young kids were eating and the rest of the croud looked like a cross section of Middleville . The deck outside looked like a cool place to eat if there had been an open table. Even a good old pool table in the front of the bar. Plenty of tvs to watch sports and a massive wooden bar to sit at for s beer.
