About Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria
Considered the oldest family name in Chicago pizza, Lou Malnati’s is as rich in history as its pizza is in flavor.
Lou Malnati got his start in the 1940’s working in Chicago’s first deep dish pizzeria. He took his pizza expertise to Lincolnwood, a northern suburb of Chicago, where he and his wife Jean opened the first Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria on March 17, 1971. Lou was known for his fun-loving character as well as making Chicago’s best pizza. Loyal patrons lined the streets on opening day for a taste of his delicious deep dish creations. Lou always thought it was funny that an Italian should open a pizzeria in a Jewish neighborhood on an Irish holiday.

I LOVE this pizza! Me and my partner get Lou’s pizza more often than we’d like to admit. We order from this location all the time and it is consistently delicious.

We ordered a deep dish sausage and thin crust pepperoni. The thin crust’s cheese was burned and the deep dish’s contents had slid to one side of the crust and leaked grease all over the inside of the box. The crust itself was simultaneously soggy underneath the contents and very hard and crunchy at the edges.

The service was excellent even though it is take out only. They were so very friendly and patient. It was our first time trying them and had a few questions and they answered all of them with a smile! We enjoyed waiting for our orders, the atmosphere is great! The pizza was awesome! They don’t lie when they say 1 slice can satisfy your tummy. A small is plenty for two. We also got the cheese bread which was delicious and the chocolate obsession dessert. If you love chocolate, you will love it! Will definitely return but can’t wait for them to open the location closer to us!

I was craving a proper deep dish pizza. Coming to the Valley from Chicago, I know the Lou Malnati’s name. So I ordered take out while on business. I was told 45 minutes, which is what I would expect. Unfortunately l arrive on time and wait an additional 20 minutes in a tiny lobby on a bench. This happened to many other guests too as there were about 5 of us standing around looking annoyed.

I recently moved to Chandler and have tried the pizza and it is great! The employees are great at this carryout only location The problem is their website!!! I have tried to order the combo a few times and it always kicks it out and I have to pay for the items separately at a higher cost or order elsewhere. I have also received a few free items to order with a coupon code and every time I try the code it says not valid?! When contacting customer service all they say is that they are aware of the issue and working on it? This has been happening for about a year.

Excellent customer service and perfect timing with the pizza! Had an issue ordering with the app and they resolved right away. Love that I can get a Chicago fave so close to home!

*edit. This location has steadily improved and the pizza I had last week was spot on. Really good. Just wish they delivered as not that far away. Updating my overall to 4 stars.

Love deep dish and have enjoyed lou malnatis in the past. First time trying this location and won’t be back. Enough water from the crushed tomatoes the box was soaked. Included garlic as a topping expecting roasted garlic (my fault) and was disappointed in the spoonfuls of minced garlic from a jar. Parts of pizza had no cheese at all.
