Moved to Gainesville a little over a year ago and I tried numerous Chinese places that all were mediocre to simply bad. Finally, Chan’s delivered. Flavors were good, sweet dishes had a nice subtle sweetness and spicy dishes had enough spice without overpowering the flavor of the dish itself, actually enhancing it. Portion size was very good. Only issue was it’s a tad on the pricier side and I couldn’t find a good menu anywhere so here’s one. The bar was basically on the floor, but Chan’s was the best to date in Gainesville. Definite recommend.

Chan’s Chinese food does a service. Their lunch special(11am-3pm) is incredible. They offer a nice selection of generously portioned entrees with a drink included. The food is wonderfully tasty, and the customer service is great and fast. If you are craving Chinese cuisine for lunch or dinner, I highly recommend them. Be sure and call in first, to order.

The service was great however, I had the veggie lo mein and spring rolls. I watched the young lady take the frozen spring rolls out of the freezer and drop them directly into the hot grease yum….not. Thank goodness they were cooked thoroughly but were not very tasty. The lo mein was bland and the portion was not what I’m used to for the price.

Egg rolls were mushy inside and chicken not very flavorful. Probably will not go back since there are several other options.

Food was hot and tasted pretty good. We were excited to find a house spicy mustard somewhere finally! Szechuan chicken and shrimp, General Tso’s chicken, wantons, eggs rolls and vegetable fried rice. Good amount of veg in the Szechuan dish.

My go to place for quick Chinese food. I have been a customer for over a decade. I remember they days when the mom ran the place. She was always sweet and kind. The food is really good and I have never had anything bad. I recently had the mushu chicken because the last review said it was tasteless. My wife and I in fact loved it. Lots of veggies and chicken. Maybe they didn’t realize it’s a mushroom flavored dish. Anyway we enjoyed it. I’m not saying everything is perfect but we have never had a dish that was rather insulting to our taste buds. Love me some Chan’s.

Chan’s consistently delivers fresh and hot New York style Chinese food at a fair price. The small inside is clean and has a small area to wait but no dining in. Very quick!

We ordered two combination plates. A shrimp and cashew and hot and spicy beef. Both were very good. The fried rice was great too not oily at all. We were impressed with their pandemic safety measures as well. They have a small box for you to pick up the food and pay for. They were also wearing masks cooking the food. Great customer service as well. For sure coming back.
