The food was good but not outstanding. The lobster bisque was my favorite and I would order that again. The fish tasted fresh but I wanted a bit more it terms of flavor and aroma. The soufflé dessert was great!

Always our favorite restaurant when we come to Newport. We started with an amazing lobster bisque followed with an amazing Dover sole, and duck breast. Best fish I’ve ever had.

My Husband and I had our 3rd wedding anniversary dinner here and it was a marvellous evening. The staff were so kind and friendly and the food was very tasty. A complimentary glass of bubbly was a very nice touch, not many places do that anymore, so much appreciated!

Our meals were fantastic! The service was really on point and the staff made us feel very special. The food was cooked perfectly, and the presentation was elegant. Our drinks were also delicious. We had a cocktail, a glass of wine and some champagne. The cocktails was mixed very well, and I’m still mesmerized by how our server aerated my wine pour. Parking was a breeze as well. I will cerainly be dining here again!

I liked the old Bouchard’s ambience a little better but love that Max is still there and menu is relatively the same. Booking again tonight. Very relaxing meal in an upscale setting.

Bouchard Restaurant is now Chanterelle, still great and serving very traditional French cuisine. I will say the steak tartare is a bit different from what you’d expect, dressed a bit more like what you’d find in a tuna tartare, so I preferred the beef carpaccio, but the duck a l’orange is as traditional as you could wish. The Cornish game hen was amazing, as was the Grand Marnier souffle. Just a wonderful time.
