Amazing soft shelled crab curry!!!! And we also got slow cooked pork leg – also quite yummy! Hole in the wall type place, super low key. Thai tea with milk also great.

Here’s the deal, I ate here the first week they opened, some ten years ago, and it was the best Thai food in the area for a couple of years. After a very long break I returned with a few friends, and the same can no longer be said: the food is okay, but not as good, and the prices have doubled. Still, we did enjoy our Tuesday afternoon lunch well enough and service was fine.

Delicious spicy Thai salads is why we decided to finally check out Chao Thai after all these years. We asked for medium spicy and the waiter warned us it was spicy. We had the #a36 crispy shredded catfish with green mango red onion, lime juice, chili and lemongrass which was a tad spicy for us but uber delicious and very different from the typical taste of this sort of Thai salad so bright fresh and delicious! Definitely our favorite and we will order again 13.95 for a med size portion.

Nice small place for a good Thai food. The portion are generous. We had Pad Ke Mao, Panang Curry and the meat ball(forgot it’s name). Service is good.

I loved their noodle soup. I ordered the number 1 on the menu. The bouillon was super flavorful. There was beef, liver, crunchy pork eggs…maybe I am forgetting something else.

The best Thai restaurant. Unfortunately, it’s a small restaurant, very limited sitting.

This looks like a family own restaurant. It’s small but their food taste really good. I am vegetarian and we ordered friend tofu with vegetables, it was amazing. The good thing is you don’t smell meat in your food. We also order Som Tum (papaya salad) and it tasted delicious. This is small place but worth a shot you will not regret.

I don’t know why this place doesn’t have a 5 star rating yet. This is the best place for Thai food in Queens. I’ve been coming here for years. Try the Raw Shrimp salad with garlic, cilantro. Holy monkeys, it’s so damn good. Your regular dishes Kee Mao, Fried rice, PraKha King, all sauteed meats are always delicious but be adventurous and order other things off the menu, you can’t go wrong.
