This is a restaurant that, unless you are specifically looking for it, otherwise, you’ll pass it without even realizing. Today we decided to visit this restaurant for lunch and were really glad that we “discovered” it. Inside the restaurant is not big but the tables were arranged with good space in-between. The palace was busy when we arrived but we were able to find seating right the way. That being said, the place can get busy very quickly due to the limited seats. At first, I was a little concerned about the service as we had to wait for more than 5 minutes for someone to bring us the menu, but once we placed the order, the time that it took for food to come out was very short, which I thought was great. Most importantly, the food tasted fantastic; the Camelia plate that I ordered was so flavorful that it blew me away; chicken enchiladas and Tampiqueña plate were also fabulous. There’s no doubt that we will be revisiting this restaurant in the near future.

Dont judge the book by its cover. The building might look old, the food is sssooo goood. Quick service, reasonable prices, friendly and attentive staff. The crispy tortillas were exceptional, very fresh and tasty, so were the spicy dip and salsa. The quantity of the food was good as well. They offer freshly made variety of fruit smoothies which is a must try.

In Round rock for a soccer tournament and we put airbnb was right next to this place. It’s very authentic Mexican food. I had the Jamaica and the chilaquiles! They were so delicious! The fajitas meat was so good and tender. My son loved it. I also got a very delicious fruit cup. I highly recommend. I wish I would of got pictures but we got to excited and ate fast haha

Stopped in to get some breakfast tacos for the guys at work. We ordered almost every combo of tacos they offered. The guys were very happy with the taste and portion. We visit once or twice a week because prices are friendly and tacos are good. Don’t forget the sauce.

Nice “mom & pop” place. It’s a basic restaurant with no fluff. Reminds me a lot of the places I frequented as a kid back home.

I eat at Chapala almost once per week at this point. The service is always consistently flavorful. My favorite is the carne guisada. On a few occasions they have had a table set for me when I walk in. The young ladies who run the front are very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!

Amazing food, reliable friendly staff & service. Pricing is very reasonable and the variety of options makes it hard to choose just one favorite, but I can’t leave without a Camelia Plate and a Fresa or Sandia popsicle.

The enchiladas were very good right spices and food was not cold. Homemade tortillas flour & corn. The only negative not much space. We will continue to support this small business so they can grow ❤️

If you want great food at a price way lower than Chuy’s or La Mexicana, than you should try this place. A simple, clean, comfortable, family establishment with authentic Mexican food. If you like fruit cocktails (covtel de frutas) or fresas con crema and can’t find them…they serve them here. Also menudo and caldo de res are on the menu. I love the Mexican coke! So, if you really want fast, fresh, authentic Mexican food then give this “dive” a chance.
