Outstanding. This location always has great service and the food is almost always delicious. Once in a while they forget to butter the toast for the grill cheese, but that’s rare. When they make it right, it’s one of the best drive through sandwiches around. The Jr is a deal too! Not a big fan of being asked to tip at a drive through, but the service is always great regardless.

They were awesome. The staff was attentive and sweet. Funny and helpful. Service was fast. Bathrooms were clean. Would recommend. They double cupped my milkshake for me without question because we were on the motorcycle.

This one of my favorite hamburger places to eat. This was the first time eating at the Clayton location. Staff was very friendly, and service was very good. We were here mid-afternoon so they were not very busy. I had a 1/2 lb. hamburger steak sandwich combo with cheese, lettuce, tomato, mayo, ketchup, and some salt and pepper. The combo came with fries and a drink. Cost was about $10.50. As usual Char-Grill did not disappoint.

UPDATE – despite my last visit, I gave them another try. This time I got hot dogs. Usually they are Brightleaf (Red hot dogs) and they are steamed or lightly grilled. This time what I got was a off brand pink hot dog that had been burned, apparently in an effort to hide that they were not Brightleaf hotdogs. And don’t think that price had been reduced to reflect the knockoff Hot dog. I’m done, never going back.

Not as impressed as usually here. Bought a couple of hot dogs, Slaw, Mustard, Chili, & Onions. I asked if they were grilled onions. He said that he thought so, but didn’t write it down, so I got raw onions. Then I noticed the slaw was a $.40 add-on per dog. At $2.39/dog, I did not understand the reasoning, even with cabbage at $,79-$.99/ lb, a little mayo, a splash of vinegar, a bit of sugar. The slaw should be included for that price.9
