This is the best burger I’ve ever had, hands down. (Shroom Burger). The atmosphere is laid back and fantastic. Service was spot on. I want to give a standing ovation to all of the employees and shake the hands of all in the kitchen . Of course, that is a health violation, so I resisted the urge to ask. We were just passing through town, and Goggle was queried for restaurants. An Italian restaurant across the street came up as a suggestion, so we plotted a course. When we arrived, the Italian restraunt was closed. The area was quaint and were about to explore when I saw Charlie’s. I saw they had burgers (my favorite) so we headed across the street for some lunch. They atmosphere was great as soon as we walked in the heavy wooden door. The plaster on the walls was broken away and revealed the beautiful brick work behind. The fixtures were all industrial iron and the lights were a soft glowing filament.

Holy Moses! They call the it “Messy Jesse” and it is unlike anything I have ever had to eat in my travels. Crispy, triple cooked fries with ground beef, quest, pickled jalapeños, pickled onions and ranch. Slap yo Momma! That was one of the best apps I’ve ever had.

Love this spot! This has been one of the staples in the downtown area and glad they are there. Service is great, servers are always friendly and the burgers and tacos are made with the customer in mind – there’s something for everyone. They run a tight ship and have a fun time doing it.

Charlie’s has become me and my husband’s safe space! We come here every weekend – sometimes even twice a weekend. The food is unique and absolutely amazing every single time. The elote is THE must-have on the menu, next to the brussel sprouts (Thai style). The onion rings are the best I’ve ever had!! My husband loves the burgers, and the BBQ shrimp is my go-to. Everything is so fresh and delicious. Aside from the wonderful food, it’s the company that keeps us coming back. We have come to know and love the people who work here. They make this spot special and warm. We truly feel like we are just hanging out with friends who know how to cook really well when we come sit at the bar. We have never left this establishment unsatisfied, we will never stop coming to Charlie’s!
