This is one of my favorite breakfast places! We had family in from out of town and met for breakfast/lunch – a party of 8. We were seated right away and served quickly. Half the group all ordered the fried chicken sandwich. Holy cow! They looked amazing! Huge! Everyone was very happy! Can’t wait to go back and try it myself. I ordered Eggs Benedict and wasn’t disappointed. Everything is so good and the kitschy decor is fun to look at while waiting for your food.

I ordered a Chicken sandwich for take-out. When I got home, I opened the box and saw that they had given me sweet potato fries instead of potato salad. I’m not averse to sweet potato fries but I’m not crazy about them. I ate them anyway because it was too hot to return to the restaurant to exchange them. They were okay. The sandwich had a tiny piece of chicken in it. For $18.52 plus $2 tip, I expected a piece of chicken that would cover the sandwich. The chicken was rubbery as well. All in all, a very disappointing experience. I will not be returning. I cn’t believe this place has an almost 5 star rating.

This place has gone DOWNHILL substantially! The service here is the worst ever. Not only is the service terrible, but the waitress have terrible attitudes, and make you feel awkward to ask them for ANYTHING. Covid killed this place. I’ve been going to Charlie’s for 10+ years. The food here used to be the bomb, now the food is average ihop at best. I was wondering on my way by why humpty dumptys was so crowded and Charlie’s was dead as could be. Well after breakfast, I knew why. The service is some of the worst ever. They put us in a back corner, and only came back to take our order, and drop off our food. My water sat empty the ENTIRE time. My spouse even noticed one of the waitresses look at my empty water cup several times. Yet I never got another sip of water the entire time. We didn’t even get our check. I had to literally walk up to the counter, to get any acknowledgment whatsoever. I still never got a check. Just charged me what I thought seemed ridiculous, for our regular breakfasts. I had to ask for a reciept to get any clarification at all. I wouldn’t recommend this place anymore to anyone. This used to be my spot too! Now they’ve run it down to the ground. Old, dirty restaurant, the least you could do is provide a service that makes it worth coming back. Needless to say, I won’t be going back.

My family loves Charlie’s Cafe. We have breakfast here 1-2 times a month. Their sourdough pancakes and homemade sausage are fantastic. The staff is always friendly and keeps your coffee cup full.

It’s a 5 star presentation, and a 3 star taste….. prices are pretty good for this kind of food… it was good but not 5 star quality. I would definitely go back.

Great restaurant. I came for breakfast. Friendly staff, roomy, quick service, relaxed atmosphere with a solid menu. And frequent coffee refills. The fella in the corner makes sure we all behave – without saying a word.
