I almost gave it four stars due to the long wait at dinner time, but the catfish is so good that it deserves five stars for the catfish alone. If you like soft-cooked catfish, you won’t find any better anywhere in Mississippi. Fluffy, light, delicious.. The oysters are also equally tasty. French fries could use some seasoning, but who cares about French fries when you have the best fried whole catfish that can be found?

Catfish very good. No filets, just on bone. Not a fan of the coleslaw. Very wet but I still ate it and enjoyed. though not my ideal version. Would return for sure.

Good food and plenty of seating. Busy on weekends -may me a wait- but worth it. Price $$, each table is served coleslaw, fries, and sliced onion. Fried shrimp is my favorite. Also oysters, catfish, seafood platter. Hamburger steak for non seafood peeps. Don’t forget the wonderful sweet tea!! Family atmosphere. Cash only- ATM on site.

It would have been nice if we had been told that the wait for our food would be over an hour. Instead, our server told us about it 45 minutes into the wait. And the food is all frozen. Our server also told us that little tidbit. I won’t be back.

I am craving Charlie’s as I type this!! I have been a Charlie’s fan for many years. Since I no longer live in the local area, I have tried numerous fish houses/camps trying to find anyplace that could compare to Charlie’s fish and shrimp. After several years searching and disappointment with each trip, I have given up.

They have a policy where 2 and under eat free. Our daughter is 2 and has seafood allergies. They told us we had to leave. She wasn’t costing them a penny. Employees are rude, and you’ll be waiting hours to eat. Don’t go! Not worth it.

It was standing room only, that’s how popular they are! People came from near and far. I came 1100 miles and family took me there. The fish seasoning was awesome! They serve cornbread, Cole slaw, French fries and a Vidalia onion. $12.95. If you visit Ellisville, Mississippi or near by, please visit for their catfish! Absolutely delish!

The food was horrible. I asked for my fish to be cooked hard, it was very much undercooked, the shrimp was cold and rubbery and the fries were cold. I didn’t feel like going back and waiting because it takes so long to get a to-go order. I decided I won’t go back. The quality of that place has declined a lot from what it used to be. I wish I could have given zero stars for the food.
