I had been traveling all day and needed me some bbq. I found tgis place in Cedar City and thought I would give it a try. The place was very clean. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Jonathan was great he recommended the mac n cheese on top of fries. I ordered the thunderbird sandwich with the secret fries and Mac n Cheese. It was delicious. The meat can be somewhat inconsistent (good to great) and they could use a few different healthy sides, but for Southern Utah this place is great! Awesome sauce selection (nice and sweet) and the fries are great. YOU NEED TO TRY THE FRYCHOS!

A great place to come after hiking in Bryce Canyon! Ordered the sampler for 2 but they had run out of ribs so they gave us extra of the other meats. Usually don’t love BBQ chicken but this one had great smoky flavor and was still pretty moist! Sausage was a little salty for my taste. The fried pickles were super crispy and the beans were sweet. Don’t miss the cinnamon butter for the corn bread and a mini cone to top it all off!

While the barbecue here is ok, the restaurant felt quite dirty with sticky tabletops to grungy bathrooms. The staff were super friendly and helpful, though they were of some meat for the combo plate. Overall or family had a nice meal, though the side dishes didn’t impress. Potato salad had huge chunks of potato and not much flavor

Wow! The Frychos we’re definitely the crowd favorite, but I loved the brisket and wings too. And the Mac and cheese was beyond delicious – super cheesy and flavorful. My kids also enjoyed the little self serve ice cream cones that we’re readily available.

It claims to be authentic Texas style barbecue but doesn’t come close to anywhere I’ve had barbecue in Texas. The portion sizes are sadly small for the price and I didn’t see any smoke ring on the meat, and the pork especially was lacking in flavor. It’s definitely not bad – the sides were good and so was the cornbread (even if proper Texas bbq doesn’t include cornbread) – but don’t expect too much from it.

Love this place! We go every time we are in cedar city. It’s the best bbq in Utah and the atmosphere of the place is small town comfortable. Employees are always super nice. I recommend this place to everyone!! Old name was cool… sad it had to change.

Charlie’s is now open on Sunday, so we came by with a coupon after church to try their BBQ. It was HEAVENLY! Succulent chicken and pork ribs, fried cauliflower, excellent coleslaw… This may just be our go-to BBQ from now on.

Overall, pretty good bbq, especially for a city of this size. Cornbread was good (especially with their honey butter); pickles were nice and “dilly” which is great for bbq; brisket had good flavor but was a little on the dry side; ribs had good flavor but were very, very dry (as in, so dry my jaw got tired from chewing; nearly jerky dry); mac and cheese had good flavor but almost tasted a little watery, just wasn’t as rich and creamy as I’d expect; hush puppies were good but had almost an overwhelming oniony flavor, almost like they fry them alongside onion rings. The dry meats were enough for a 3 star rating, but I did note that the weather was pretty nasty that day so I know first hand that it can be a lot more tricky to regulate a good smoke in unpredictable weather. I’m assuming the meat is usually better than what I experienced, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt.
