We arrived early (not realizing they don’t open until 4 on Tuesdays. They were still cleaning the restaurant (and doing a thorough job), but we were still greeted warmly and welcomed to wait in the lounge.

Good place to eat. I had fried scallops, and they tasted great. The soft drinks were small, and the beer selection could have been better. The Corona was a Corona Light, although it just said Corona. Service was fast, though, and the food, the most important thing, was excellent.

Pricey, but food is very good. Smaller portions unfortunately, especially for my $30 Lobster Ravioli. The Bang Bang Shrimp tasted just like Bonefish Grill’s, though! Wait staff was also very friendly, and the restaurant has a cozy atmosphere.

What a fine time the staff at Charlotte’s Restaurant extended to our family, my husband and me, on Friday, August 13, 2023. The luncheon menu was diverse, generously proportioned and delicious. Mel the server, was warm, professional, efficient and ‘extremely’ accommodating to our every request. The hostess Sarah arranged for our party to be seated in the private, ‘Rustic Room,’ which was a smart, strategic decision on her part, because our group is a talkative, boisterous bunch of sisters, brothers and their spouses, whose goal when we get together, is to try and speak the loudest over the others in attendance.

The hostess working last night turned down our table of 5 and said they didn’t have a table for at least an hour(on a TUESDAY night without even looking at her book). My husband is a restaurant manager and I have worked in the restaurant industry for many years as a server/bartender and there were plenty of tables available. It was clear as day that we were turned down simply because we had 3 young children with us. My children are well behaved and we tip very well but that’s besides the point. If you don’t have someone at least 50+ with you and absolutely no children when trying to eat here, don’t even bother. The ambiance was like an old church or retirement home but I’m not usually petty about that type of thing. Today I am though because of the way we were treated. You lost potential regulars because of your hostess. From reading previous reviews, I’m sure you’re okay with that anyway. Hope this helps a family like ours avoid a trip!! We ended up down the street at Sopranos and had a beautiful night.

This is a wonderful place that really cares about providing a great experience! The food is good, the bar is fun, and they have an awesome happy hour. They’ve spent so much effort decorating the place that they almost overdid it! And it feels a little like a funeral home as you walk in… LOL. But this effort is good thing. It is apparent in everything about this restaurant and you can feel it when you are here.

We were a party of 5 adults dining together. The decor was inviting. We had the chopped steak, chicken Katrina, Reuben sandwich, and one of the chicken specials that look like long thin breaded strips, they barely soup, mock turtle soup, tossed salad. Everybody enjoyed the meal that they got. Our server was attentive. Our table was comfortable in temperature and location. Newtown Square is way out of our neighborhood but when I read some of the other reviews I realized this was a nice little gem. I’m glad we came. I’m also glad that I was able to make a reservation in advance because Saturday sometime is an issue. Ample parking as well.

We just had our wedding ceremony and reception at Charlotte’s restaurant and I couldn’t be more pleased with everything. The room was immaculate the service was outstanding and the food was remarkable every single guest we had was completely satisfied with everything. Not one single hick up it was all 100% and I want to say thank you to the owner Jimmy for everything it will truly be a day to remember.
