We happened in on Friday, which is when they have fish fry, we all got perch, and it was great. The fries were not stellar but certainly good enough. They also came with a salad, which tasted fresh.

Our meals were excellent. The homemade pie was fruit tasty not candy sweet. I had turkey dinner that was tender and moist. The barley soup could have been the whole meal it was so good. Liver and onion was a do again.

We’ve been visiting family in the area and eaten here every day. No disappointments. Everything has been fantastic. Order anything with the hollandaise sauce. The pancakes are huge and fluffy. Coffee is ground fresh several times a day. Lots of funny signs and sisu.

Best you can get for small town eating. Great service and the meal arrived quickly. We have been here many times when we visit the area.

We saw the restaurant down the street from M-28, and decided to try it. Glad we did, since the food was excellent and inexpensive , and the server was very friendly. There were quite a few customers, but we didn’t feel rushed. It reminded me of old town diners where the customers and diner workers got along great with each other.

It’s my mom’s favorite place to stop on our annual trip to Ironwood. It is a small community atmosphere with tasty, homemade food.

Server was excellent…as the only one out front she was covering all the bases with ease.

Excellent friendly place, classic family owned cafe. Lots of good home made stuff. Agree omelet & scrambled eggs could be less flat & more fluffy, hash browns less crispy.

Really great place! Never had a bad meal here, and I’ve had a lot. They close pretty early so check the hours. Friday fish fry!
