First time here with friends before a show at the new Carteret PAC and it was simply a very excellent restaurant. Nice interior with food priced fair for value. They had one of my favorite dishes that I can hardly get out anymore, Ox Tail Stew and, it was cooked to perfection! A new must go restaurant for me when I’m in the area!!!

Parking is tight as it’s tucked into a residential neighborhood but ample street parking and well worth a walk. Staff was very welcoming and attentive. Nicely appointed restaurant and adjacent bar. We were constantly checked on by the friendly staff. The menu offers a wide range of selections and you won’t be disappointed. We started with a shrimp cocktail that was well plated and huge compared to what passes at many other restaurants. Cheryll enjoyed equally impressive portions of tiger prawns that could easily feed two. I chose the grilled lobster tails which easily separated from their shells which does not always happen making for an enjoyable experience. We will certainly enjoy dining here again and highly recommend you add this spot to your dinner destinations.

Great place to visit on a Monday night. Other restaurants we frequent were closed, so we decided to try Chateau Madrid and had a really nice experience. My husband and I sat at a bar table because we wanted to keep it casual. We ordered red sangria, and it was chilled and delicious. I had a chicken and shrimp special and my husband had filet minion. Both dishes were cooked perfectly tender and were very tasty. The staff was pleasant, as was the atmosphere. Perfect night out!

While most of the meals were good for the large group we had, some were also lacking. The Portuguese steak 1 member had was left untrimmed and had a large piece of white unrendered fat on it. The garlic chicken was very lacking in flavor and for.somme reason they sliced the loin of the rack of lamb to cook it quicker, but also left it too long in the grill so the frenched bones were so charred they snapped off when you grabbed them. The sangria was tasty though

I’ve eaten here many times, always at the bar. Saturday was my first time in the banquet hall. Food was as amazing as always, the staff was polite and helpful. However the glasses on the table were dirty (champagne glasses were stained red probably from the sangria, which is also delicious) I would have hoped that someone would be more attentive to these details for a wedding.

The food is delicious, staff is friendly, parking theres tons, costs ($$)….you pay for what you get and thats good food and good service. I had shrimp and garlic dinner which was perfect,my husband had a t-bome steak with rice and chips which he loved. My sangria was on point as well. Nice crowd, not too young and everyone is just chill.
