Spike Speedwell
We drove around town to see the old buildings. Mostly crumbling, vacant structures with faded signs painted on the building’s exterior bricks. The logos once proudly announced the owner’s name and services. Essential then, now ancient. Sad. We imagined what the town was like, when oil was life in Oklahoma. The buildings then housed businesses that employed many, put food on the table and provided opportunities for several generations. Yale, a living ghost town now.

The horchata hit the spot on a 100° degree then the chips with guac and spicy sauces began to whet my appetite. As a finale, the Fajita Enchilada took the whole experience home! Overall this was a great meal for a fair price!

This restaurant has a bad reputation for serving cold food and horrible customer service. This wasn’t always the case, but I digress. I used to order food here weekly, but since covid, customer service has gone out the window. They have made changes to their menu and you can’t trust what is listed here on this posting because these individuals don’t even care about informing the public about said changes wasting your time. Half the time the food is cold and disgusting(post covid). In short I will no longer be eating here again and I will make it a point to let everyone know of the shifty service and poor food quality from this point forward

Food is very good. Price is reasonable. Went a few days ago for takeout. They say to check order before leaving. Thankfully we did. We were missing a full order. We had 4 adult orders. They missed one. They brought it out and I asked for another bag of chips. She said it only came with 3. Wasn’t happy with that. I ordered 4 full dinners, should’ve received 4 bags of chips. That really ticked me off and is bs! Doesn’t make sense at all that you don’t get chips with every order. On top of that, if I hadn’t caught they cheated me a complete meal, nothing I could’ve done about it if I’d left without checking.

Still an okay place to throw down some groceries. But it is not as good lately. It’s more expensive, the wait staff is not real good and the salsa tastes as thought they are just serving crushed tomatoes.

Good quality food and generous portions. Always end up here after the lunch rush and there is only one person serving and being cashier, if you have time that’s not a problem, just a heads up. All in all, a great place to eat. The sopapillas are excellent!
