Great service, and fast. I have never had an incorrect order at this establishment. The fries are always hot and crispy, the burgers are great and reasonably priced with 4 and 5 dollar deals available. The food is a bit heavy on the stomach but if you are eating here you already know what you signed up for 🙂

Stopped to get a Brookie on the last day of a reward/offer for one free and OMG it was warm, tasty, and bigger than I expected and IMHO worth the price. Part chocolate chip cookie and part delectable chocolate brownie, a Brookie would be amazing with a cone or cup of vanilla ice cream and a spoon. I had planned on taking it to eat later, but when I realized it was warm, I decided to enjoy it right away. Order ahead in their rewards app, paying online, and less wait for your items as well as special offers, savings, and rewards for future purchases. Shakes in vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, and my favorite banana can be ordered in person as part chocolate and part banana, part banana and part strawberry, part strawberry and chocolate, etc. One recommendation is their chicken bites box which are boneless, breaded white meat chicken pieces and their award winning, battered fries with a choice of dipping sauce. Big Buffords, single or double fish sandwiches, coney or hot dogs, Checker/Rally burgers, and apple pies.

Food is good, and actually didn’t have to deal with that AI ordering system when I ordered, unfortunately the gentleman with glasses at the window was beyond extremely rude and impolite. The last thing a family wants when spending a day out and getting a bite to eat is to be treated poorly and basically scolded for getting food. All I can say is if I have that kind of interaction at the window again I will not be returning to Lapeer checkers again. Put someone at your window with a heart and actually enjoys working face to face with customers. If I acted like that at my work I wouldnt have a job.
