Everything about this place is absolutely fantastic. The chef/owner is very friendly, the food is out of this world good. I got the lumpia and Longganisa; both with the garlic rice. I’m gonna remember that meal for a very long time, it was that good. The sauce with the lumpia is a great complement as is the sauce with the Longganisa. The rice is garlicy and umami-y and the sauce are brighter to balance that out. I can’t say enough good things about the food. They also have a little store with Filipino goods for sale; ramen, chips, drinks.

The food is SO good. So far I’ve had the BBQ chicken and the lumpia. Both were delicious, and the portions were very generous. I can’t wait to try the rest of the menu!

The food is *so* good! Best place I’ve eaten at in almost forever! Definitely top 3, easy. Can’t wait to come back again! We were so happy and pleased by the quality and taste of the food! I had the beef caldereta and my partner had the bicol express. Both were top notch! Portion size is excellent, enough for now and later.

Chee-bog has been a Filipino cuisine gem to the Albany community! Champ and his Father-in-law warmly welcomed us with genuine hospitality into their establishment! You immediately felt at home! Let alone, the delicious Filipino food they offer! Made with LOVE! You tease the authenticity and love in every bite! We love our Pancit and Lumpia! Cannot wait to explore their menu more! This spot is a keeper! Keep doing what you’re doing! Two happy, happy, customers in Rensselaer, NY!

The food was so flavorful and interesting. The owner was kind and made sure to learn our name. They have halo halo for dessert which is such a fun experience, mixing icecream, flan, shaved ice and gummy things!

I’ve never had Filipino food before, so I had no idea what to expect. I loved it so much! We each got the adobo chicken (three big boxes in photo), which was tender and flavorful but not overpowering, and the rice was soft but not soggy. We also got lumpia as an appetizer (smaller box in photo), and it didn’t last long- big hit! The Ube ice cream (purple container in photo) didn’t make it long either- the taste is different than traditional ice cream in the best way possible. The food descriptions listed on the website are accurate, if anyone is wondering. Also love that they have pronunciations by the dish names! Overall, 5/5, will be going back many, many times.

Arrived at the time my food was supposed to be ready and it was. I was asked if I wanted it to go or to eat in. I chose to eat in and had a fantastic meal. My dish was delicious. My dessert was fantastic. The gentleman working there was very kind and the atmosphere was small and quaint. What more could you ask for? Hope they end up being open for more than just three days a week and continue to grow their business. It’s always nice to see the little guy succeeding.

I’ve been a customer since Champ was hosting popups. He’s continued to provide amazing Filipino food ever since. It’s sweet and garlicky and savory all at once, and so delicious. My wife (who is from Manila) and I love everything we’ve had at Chee-Bog, highly recommended.

I’ve been meaning to stop in and try Chee-bog’s food since they opened, and I’m kicking myself for not putting an order in sooner! I love trying new foods, especially international cuisines. I have always wanted to try authentic Lumpia and it was so flavorful and savory with a nice crispy wrapping. I also am a huge Ube fan so I ordered 2 Ube Ice Creams. They’re large containers full to the top (you get your moneys worth) but it might not make it until the next time I can order! Lol. The ice cream is delicious..sweet, nutty, creamy, very much Ube! It comes with fruity pebbles you can sprinkle on top, but I love it the way it is! You can tell the ice cream made fresh too, like everything else! I am very happy and feel lucky to live walking distance to Chee-bog. I’ll definitely be back (very soon) to try some Filipino dishes that I’ve never had yet. And I’ll need about 5 more ube ice creams and the box of ube cookies that I saw! Also am looking forward to trying the halo halo! I only wish they were open more!
