It was honestly pretty good overall. The fries were very good. I think it is probably on the higher end of what you would pay for grilled cheese but they did deliver quality. The restroom was oddly hot.

This place is amazing. I was actually stunned. My mom and I split the goat cheese and arugula grilled cheese, and the pulled pork and slaw grilled cheese. We also ordered the beer cheese fries and it was all phenomenal. Not a single complaint. The photos speak for themselves. We will be back!

Excellent food, cool atmosphere, and they refilled my drink after a fly landed in it. The music from across the street was aligned with my millennial heart despite the patrons being at least a decade younger than me. If you don’t mind feeling slightly old despite being freshly out of your 20s and enjoy cheese stop on by.

It was my first time here. I ordered the O.G. which is Cheddar & American cheese with a tomato jam. I added bacon. The outside is perfectly crunchy, and the inside creamy. For some reason, the tomato has the same taste as Applebutter to me. It was delicious.

I love cheese in a general sense. I have been given blocks of cheese as presents (I loved it). After eating at cheese smith I have to say it’s pure cheese perfection. The service was high tier, the atmosphere was welcoming and fun, and the food was worth every penny.

I read a review on here that said this would be the best grilled cheese I have ever had. Challenge accepted! My grandmother ages the best in my opinion but I threw out the challenge. I talked with Brendon and told him what she used and he went to work. 5 minutes later this beautifully golden brown sandwich showed up just oozzzing cheese and he did not disappoint. Not exactly like grandmas but dang close! My original intent was to leave a 5 star review but then I went to the bathroom…it was bad. We will go back but I cannot in good conscious leave 5 stars when the bathroom was in such rough shape.

If you live in the Wilmington area, or are just visiting from out of town, do yourself a favor and grab a sandwich and a beer at Cheesesmith. It’s not just the same old take on a gourmet grilled cheese. This is something special and different. Very simple, yet unique menu (my personal favorite being the Bulgogi Brussels). Clean and modern building design with beautiful outdoor seating. And it’s located in the up and coming cargo district so there are plenty of shops just feet away.
