I went on a business trip and found Chef Bob’s Cafe. I’m a former Chicagoan and I’ve never had grits before that I liked. Thanks! The fried chicken was outstanding and the She-Crab soup was wonderful. I’ll definitely return! The entire town is one of the friendliest I’ve encountered and this restaurant is no exception to that rule.

Food was great. Kids were happy and staff was nice and friendly. 3 year old ate green beans first on her plate and loved the sweet potatoes. 6 year old ate chicken and loved every bite.

Lovely little place, quality southern cooking. Buffet style, very good fried chicken (as is a requirement around here really). There is artwork from local artists on the wall with prices on them if you so desire (meant to grab some pictures, will next time).

When I first saw the sign, (Chef Bob’s Cafe) I thought I’ve never heard of a Chef working at a Cafe… When you walk in Bob’s place it looks like a 100 other Cafe’s I’ve been in before but that’s when the similarities stop because this Man truly is a Chef it was the Best Meal I have had in probably 10 years!!! I had the Buffet and the signature dish was Shrimp Gumbo… Bob doesn’t sound like a Cajun but you are going to swear he is when you taste his Gumbo!!! Great Guy great food, great location, and conversation… Best thing of all was the price we got out of there for less than 30 bucks, I would have gladly spent a 100 dollars on that meal because absolutely everything I had was better than any 5 star resturant I’ve ever been in!!! Thanks Bob for an Absolutely wonderful meal… Oh yeah I almost forgot, Compliments to your Mother who makes the most Amazing homemade apple butter that I have had since I left Texas!!! D.T.

Parked outside after my first visit, regretting never having eaten here before. My coworker says if you’ve never been here slap yourself and go now.The best place to eat in Edgefield by far. Wednesday hamburger steak with gravy and buttermilk biscuits were amazing and highlighted the banana pudding.

Ate today and was completely satisfied. Had fish, chicken, peas, corn, green beans, and banana pudding. Sweet tea. All tasted really good. Will visit again. Try it, you will like it. You did it again Chef Bob!

We stumbled on this place on the drive from Asheville to Savannah and so glad we did, food was amazing, so was the service. It was so good next time we were going to SC we made sure to stop there for lunch again and not disappointed again! Still the same wonderful food and price as last time. We look forward to our next visit.
