Thought we would try it again – given the new location. I ordered the chicken pad thai and didn’t like it. Kept getting strange tastes and smells – honestly reminded me of the smells when I feed my dog blue buffalo. I told the waiter, he mentioned that a lot of others didn’t like the dish either. But he offered no compensation. He suggested I try the kids lo mein (since I didn’t want to pay for another full meal). It was not much better and didn’t each much of it. Just noodles in an oily brown sauce with not great flavor. No onions or vegetables in the lo mein and it came with an egg roll that was OK, but again, very oily.

I always order from Chef Cao’s and am always satisfied; but tonight they TOTALLY disappointed! I had to Uber to H.E.B for personal reasons, $16 each way. So because I was there I ordered my normal meal and waited 20 mins. to get it. Got home and I had received what you see in the pictures (raw vegetables and some kind of clear liquid). NOT what I ordered! I called to try to get them to deliver me the food I ordered and the guy just kept complaining that he was the only one there and 6 people should be helping him; and, and, and. So he finally said he’d just refund my money. NOT what I wanted. I’m hungry and wanted food! Anyway, normally good food and good service at this establishment. Obviously though, not tonight; BUT, not my problem if they’re short handed (then shut off your phone so people can order from somewhere that can provide them with editable food). Super disappointed-

Ordered delivery and it came quickly. I ordered the boneless spicy deep fried chicken and a kids fried shrimp. Skip the chicken, I think the other chef cao’s has a better recipe, but the shrimp was tasty.
