Born in the Bahamas to Haitian parents, Ken and brother, the late Jude Pierre, opened their first Chef Creole restaurant on 77 St and NE 2nd Ave. 29 years ago this December. To date, he has established six more locations, including the Miami International Airport that opened in August. His 7th addition is the Hardrock Café concession in Hollywood.

I went and ordered some food today. Unfortunately, I was given the wrong order yet again (this isn’t the first time). I ordered Rice and beans with oxtails. I was given rice and peas and I don’t know what this is but it is not oxtails. It’s very salty and not a taste I personally like. Very disappointing!

Love the renovations that Ken has made with this location… the food was fresh and cooked to order. Wish the young man who was taking my order knew how to speak up and project his voice. It was hard to hear him when he talks plus he had paper stuffed in his nose, not a good look when handling people’s food

Kudos to Broward County Public Schools, Harlem Renaissance course for introducing us to the Haitian Community. Mrs. June did a magnificent presentation and to include Miami’s Haitian cultural.
