We tried this Chinese fusion place, and it is superb. We had to wait for a long time to get seated as they were very busy. All the food entries were good, so I definitely recommend this place. We ordered orange chicken, eggpant with basil, green beans, and whole fish, and they were all delicious. They do have different menus than regular Chinese food, so it was good to try these entries. I definitely recommend this place.

Insanely tasty Sichuan food place. Don’t be fooled by the 1 star reviews those people had a singular bad experience. This place is quite consistently amazing. All the food is unique and well prepared. The beef noodle soup is god tier. Also the cauliflower is unlike any other Chinese place in the area.

Great place, spicy & ultra spicy. Michael Wu is the best server I have encountered over the years. Great decorations for Chinese new year. Order a goose intestines and it is crunchy, a little bit too spicy. Soups are great priced and a good portion.

4.5 rating is probably more accurate. This has become our go to place for Chinese in Gaithersburg. A good selection of mostly Szechuan style spice dishes. Bullfrogs are nice if you are into that. Certainly a bit pricey but I’d recommend for its authenticity.

The service overall was over our expectations. Very authentic of southern west Chinese flavor with just perfect spicy level for most of the dishes. We have been here a lot of times for dine-in and delivery services and it never let us down! Love monthly new added dishes like Beer Braised Duck, Sizzling Squid, Chongqing Style Noodles. If you don’t like spicy food, some non-spicy dishes are also very delicious.

The restaurant is located in a mall which makes parking easy. The staff is attentive and friendly. We ordered five dishes: loved the crispy spicy pig feet, very well made and delicious; signature pickle fish, was average and and has tofu in it which is definitely different from other places that serve this dish. The ghost city spicy chicken is decent like any Sichuan spicy chicken; the winding dragon eggplant is very nice, tastes authentic and the cutting and presentation is spot on. The most disappointing is the chicken soup wonton which has too much sesame oil and the soup base is just basic clear broth.

I dined in the same premise years ago. I was not impressed. So, I never go back there until yesterday. Obviously, this Chinese restaurant has changed hand with a new name “Chef Lee’s Element”. Although it’s English name doesn’t mean much to me, it’s Chinese name “厚德小厨” is quite interesting. Literally, it means a generous little kitchen. Under the current market of inflation, I would say that they are indeed quite generous. The interior was obviously rerenovated, nice and clean. I felt the enthusiastic vibes among the parties. Most importantly, the dishes were presented very well and the food tastes were for the most part better than it’s local peers, assuming you like spicy food. Oh, the crispy pork trotters (香酥猪蹄) was my favorite. Most importantly, our average bill was $33 per person including a 20% tip. One minor annoying encounter was our waiter was little inpatient with us as he was running around like crazy. Nevertheless, overall I’ll give this little generous kitchen a grade of 4.5.

I am here to pick up Uber eats order and my experience was so bad because I am here to pick Uber eats customers order and waiting 25 min after 25 min they told me order is not ready so wait more 30 min looks like 1 hours waiting time for 1 order so bad experience I am requesting all Uber driver who’s drive Gaithersburg areas do not come this store. Food not ready on time ignore all Uber orders form here
