Growing up Chef Tony learned his way around a kitchen, now he has over 20 years of cooking experience all across the world. He has been contracted to cook all over leading him to the halls of Congress in our nation’s capital. As a result of the pandemic, he found himself leaving the confines of a traditional kitchen. Chef Tony decided to try his hand at different cooking adventure – Thus the magic of Chef Tony’s Food Truck began in a pop-up tent at SpringGate. Now Chef Tony’s has morphed into Chef Tony’s Food Group consisting of 7 food trucks and multiple taverns.

I’m new to the area and thought I was taking friends in town to Black Rock Brewing. (because there is a Google listing that restaurant still exists) We pulled up and saw signs for Chef Tony’s, which I recognized from Spring Gate. So I thought, ok, we’ll try this anyway.

We visited Chef Tony’s on a Friday night for dinner, drinks, and music bingo and we had a wonderful time! Our table had cheesy bacon fries, Philly cheesesteak egg rolls, a bacon-jam bison burger, and truffle fries along with red sangria & beer. We thoroughly enjoyed everything and we will definitely be back!

I got sick from their food, I had egg rolls and they were salty, and a hamburger that was raw. My family got pizza that was burnt and fries that didn’t taste right, like they were raw, didn’t taste done. They didn’t care about service. Said something to the workers and they just brushed it off, didn’t even offer to fix anything. The men’s bathroom light was out. Waited 10 minutes before we just sat ourselves, no hostess or waitress came to sit us or tell us where to go. And their isn’t air conditioners in the restaurant, in the middle of a hit summer. Not sure how the place is staying open, only 1 other table with people the whole time we were there. Would not recommend.
