I have recently eaten here three times this year, and I had reservations each visit. The first visit was great, we were seated and everything went smoothly. The second visit went smoothly as well, but they had ran out of a few items on their menu. (We had a later reservation that evening.) My most recent visit was not what I had come to expect, unfortunately. The food was great and once we got seated the wait staff was absolutely terrific. Thing was we weren’t seated until almost 45 minutes after our reservation! When a spot opened up at the bar, some 20 minutes of our wait, we were excited to try one of the menus cocktails while we waited for our table. The bartenders looked at us, and I made a gesture to order, but none ever spoke to us and then avoided eye contact for the rest of our time seated at the bar. I did notice they helped the next group that were seated to the bar after us, so that put us off. The food has always been great! I just hope my next visit isn’t met with neglectful bar staff, and my reservation is actually treated as a reservation.

The staff and food were excellent. The bartender helped us pick out a delicious gin and I was able to ask our server to have the kitchen make me something “vegetarian and yummy” and have them come out with one of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever had. The canolis were great, too.

The short rib mac and cheese was life changing. My butter knife cut through the meat with the slightest pressure and the flavor was incredible. It was a good experience and our waitress was attentive and friendly, despite how busy it was.

Food overall was good. Service was very slow, drinks took probably 30 minutes to get. Staff seemed uninterested. Some staff members were eating food at the bar, which seemed inappropriate, as we waited for service. A GM would probably be a good touch to help things along as it’s a $100+ couples meal.

The only place to get the best scallops in Stevens Point! Always impressed with Chef C’s brilliant dishes!! Cost is ALWAYS worth the experience of flavor and authenticity in my opinion. Love that Chef’s Kitchen uses local ingredients and supports local farms!!
